आज समाज में कुछ भी, किसी से छिपा नहीं है। आएँ समस्या की जड़ ही काट दें।

कितनी हैरानी की बात है!

देखो, हस्पताल में दो आते हैं, डाक्टर और मरीज। पर एक बड़ा अंतर है, मरीज रोग के कारण आता है, डाक्टर रोग ठीक करने, रोगी पर करूणा से आता है।

ऐसे ही जगत में भी दो आते हैं, संत और संसारी। संसारी बंधन के कारण आता है, संत बंधन से मुक्त करने।

अब जो बदलने आया है, वह संसारी को न भी बदल पाया तो कोई कलंक नहीं, कम से कम उसने प्रयास तो किया। कलंक तब लगता है, जब वह तो संसार को न बदल पाया, संसार ने ही उसे बदल दिया।

आखिर कारण क्या है?

मेरे भाई बहन! सागर किनारे कि घास पर ज्वार का पानी चढ़ने पर, किनारे की घास पर मिट्टी की एक महीन परत चढ़ जाती है। जब वह ज्वार का पानी उतरता है, तब ऐसा लगता है कि घास रही ही नहीं। सब ओर मिट्टी ही मिट्टी मालूम पड़ती है। पर जल्दबाजी न करें, दो दिन बीते कि मिट्टी झड़ी, नई कोपलें फूटी, और घास पुनः निकली।

ऐसे ही, मन में सत्संग का ज्वार चढ़ने पर, वासनाओं की घास पर वैराग्य की मिट्टी चढ़ने पर, जिसे लगा कि मन में वासना न रही, और वह जल्दबाजी में जगत में उपदेश बाँटने लगा। पर चार दिन बाजार में रहा कि वैराग्य हवा हुआ, वासना फिर फूटी।

बस माया ने चारा फैंका, किसी ने जमीन दी, किसी ने ईंटें गिरवाई। दीवारें उठने लगी, पर अब वह फंसा, दो दिन बाद माया उसके हाथ में रसीदबुक पकड़ाकर, उससे गली गली भीख मंगवाएगी।

लोकेशानन्द पूछता है कि अब वासना के नंगे नाच से उसे कौन बचाएगा?

बुरा मत मान जाना, पर बताओ तो! मीरा, तुलसी, कबीर, नरसी, एकनाथ, तुकाराम, नानक किसी ने आश्रम बनाया था क्या? नहीं ना!

क्योंकि ईंटों से कभी आश्रम नहीं बनता, जिन संत के चरणों में माया से संतप्त जीवों को आश्रय मिले, वे संत के चरण ही आश्रम हैं।
