072 माया से बंधन और मुक्ति

दिन रात माया की चक्की में, द्वैत के दो पाटों में पिसते जीव को, यदि माया से छुटकारा मिल जाए, तो निस्संदेह वह शाश्वत तृप्ति को प्राप्त होकर, कृतकृत्य हो जाए।

पर यह तो उसे ही संभव है जिसे "माया से छूटना है" ऐसा विचार आ गया। तो ऐसे गिनेचुने साधकों के लिए माया काे पार करने के तीन सूत्र हैं।

पर पहले यह भी ध्यान में रखना है कि एक ही उपदेश चार तरह के जीवों पर चार तरह से प्रभाव डालता है।

तमोगुणी नजरअंदाज कर देता है, वह तो ध्यान ही नहीं डालता और जहाँ है वहीं पड़ा रहता है।

रज मिश्रित तम वाला क्रोध से भर कर, न उठाने योग्य प्रश्न उठाता हुआ, दूसरे को नहीं बल्कि अपने को ही भरमाता हुआ, आलोचना में पड़ता है।

सत मिश्रित रज वाला संकल्प लेकर, बिना एक भी क्षण व्यर्थ गंवाए, तुरंत चलना प्रारम्भ करता है।

और सत्वगुणी तो बात समझकर दौड़ ही पड़ता है, और मंजिल पा जाता है।

तो वे तीन सूत्र हैं- महापुरुष की सेवा, अनासक्ति और निर्ममता।

नियम यह है कि माया तीन ही प्रकार से बंधन में डालती है, वर्तमान में पापकर्म की ओर प्रेरित करती है, भविष्य की कामना पैदा करती है, और अतीत के प्रति मोह में फंसाती है।

महापुरुष की सेवा, उनके संग और उपदेश श्रवण से वर्तमान में पाप नहीं होता;

अनासक्ति से, आसक्ति ही ना रहने से, भविष्य की कामना नहीं रहती;

निर्ममता से, ममता छूटने से अतीत में प्राप्त वस्तु या व्यक्ति से मोह नहीं रहता।

इस प्रकार तीनों ही बंधन नहीं रहते। लोकेशानन्द पूछता है कि तब माया टिकेगी कहाँ?

So those three formulas are- Service of great man, Detachment and Lustlessness.

The rule is that Maya binds in three ways, at present motivates to sin, cultivates desires for the future, and indulges in attachment to the past.

Serving a great man, living in his company and hearing his teachings, avoids sin in present;

From lustlessness, remains no desire for the future;

With detachment, there is no attachment to the object or person received in the past.
