080 आत्मज्ञानी की अवस्था

उस शान्त, अथाह, अनन्त, अात्मस्वरूप में, जहाँ कोई हलन चलन नहीं, कोई संकल्प विकल्प नहीं, कोई विचार नहीं, कोई प्रतिबिम्ब नहीं, वहाँ उस एक, अखंड, अद्वै, सत् वस्तु में दूसरा कैसे होगा? वहाँ तो परम एकांत है। वहाँ तो पूर्ण अद्वैत है।

जैसे कोई ध्वनि रहित निर्जन प्रदेश में, अकेला ही झोंपड़ा बनाकर रहता हो। जब तक उस झोंपड़े के दरवाजे पर किसी की दस्तक न हो, वह अपने घर से बाहर क्यों निकले? जब उसे कुछ देखने को नहीं, कुछ सुनने को नहीं, कुछ पाने को नहीं, तब वह क्यों बिना बात के, व्यर्थ ही खिड़की से बाहर झाँकेगा?

कोई दस्तक हुई तो उसने दरवाजा खोला। "आइए! आपका स्वागत है। आपकी क्या सेवा करूं?"

देखो, उसे किसी के आने से सुख नहीं, जाने से दुख नहीं। उससे किसी की जो टूटी फूटी सेवा हो सके, उसे उस सेवा का अभिमान नहीं। उससे सेवा न हो सके तो उसे ग्लानि नहीं। कोई कुछ दे तो इंकार नहीं, न दे तो माँग नहीं। उसे सर्वस्वीकार है। वह न ताली बजाने वाले से सटता है, न गाली देने वाले से हटता है।

लोकेशानन्द ने देखा है कि दर्पण के सामने जब तक कोई रहा, उस का प्रतिबिम्ब अपने से पड़ता रहा, वह सामने से हट गया, तो दर्पण खाली है।

उस आत्मस्वरूप में रमण करने वाले को आनन्द के लिए किसी की अपेक्षा न रही। वह कृतकृत्य हो गया।

उसकी यह देह अभी गिर जाए, उसे हानि नहीं, और हजारों वर्षों तक दिखती रहे, लाभ नहीं। वह तो गंभीर धैर्य धारण कर, प्रसन्नतापूर्वक अपने प्रारब्ध के क्षय होने की बाट देख रहा है।

अब तो वह लाखों की भीड़ में भी, उसी एकांत का सेवन कर आनन्दित रहता है। वह क्यों, कैसे और किसे याद करे?

In that silent, deep, eternal, true self, where there is no movement, no desire, no thought, no reflection, in that eternal true self, how will there be another. There it is absolute solitude there.

For example, someone lives in a hut, alone, in a voiceless, uninhabited state. Unless someone knocks at the door of that hut, why should he get out of his house? When he has nothing to see, nothing to hear, nothing to get, then why would he look out of the window in vain without any reason?

When there was a knock, he opened the door. "Come! You are welcome. What should I do for you?"

Look, he has no special pleasure from anyone's arrival, no sorrow from anyone's departure. If he did more or less service to anyone, he has no pride of that. If he is unable to serve, he is not guilty. If someone gives something, there is no denial. If nobody gives him anything, he does not ask. He accepts everything. He does not cling to the clapper, nor runs away from the abuser.

Lokeshanand has seen that as long as there was something in front of the mirror, its image remained by itself, if it moved away, the mirror is empty.

That enlightened person did not need anything to rejoice. He became grateful.

Let his body fall just now, he does not suffer, or let it stay for thousands more years, he has no profit. He is looking forward to the decay of his destiny, with absolute patience.

Now, even in a crowd of millions, he rejoices same solitude. Then why, how and whom should he remember?
