084 ढंग और ढोंग

यहाँ ढोंग पर बड़ी चर्चा चलती है पर आपने कभी गंभीरता से इस बात पर विचार किया कि ढोंग का अर्थ क्या है?

जो तुम नहीं हो, वह दिखाने का प्रयास ढोंग है। जिसने पाया न हो, वह ऐसा दिखाए कि पा लिया, यदि यह ढोंग है, तो जिसने खोया न हो, वह ऐसा दिखाए कि खो गया, यह ढोंग नहीं है? इन अर्थों में, हर वह मनुष्य जो कहता है कि मैं अपना आत्मस्वरूप कैसे पाऊँ? ढोंगी ही है। वह तो मानकर ही चल रहा है कि उसका आत्मस्वरूप खो गया है। पहले वह ढूंढने वाला यह तो बताए कि क्या उसका आत्मस्वरूप खो गया है?

तो जो मैं हूँ, जो मेरा वास्तविक स्वरूप है, मेरा होनापना है, उसके सिवा अपने को कुछ भी मानना, और दूसरे को वैसा ही दिखाने भी लगना ढोंग है।

इस दृष्टि से एक आत्मज्ञानी के सिवा, कौन है जो ढोंगी नहीं है? माने हर कोई ढोंगी ही है। और हैरानी यह है कि हर ढोंगी अपने को छोड़कर, प्रत्येक दूसरे को ढोंगी मानता है। इस प्रकार सब ढोंगी आपस में ढोंगी-ढोंगी खेलते हैं।

ढोंग अज्ञान का फल है। ढोंगी पहले स्वयं भ्रम में पड़ता है, फिर उसे भ्रम से दूसरे की प्रतीति होने लगती है, तब इस कल्पना से उत्पन्न दूसरे को धोखा देने के चक्कर में, वह खुद ही धोखा खा जाता है।

कहावत है कि "कौवा चला हंस की चाल"। लोकेशानन्द का अनुभव तो इसके विपरीत है, यहाँ तो "हंस चला कौवे की चाल" है।

माया ने गजब ढोंग रचा, अविनाशी मरणधर्मा का ढोंग करने लगा, अजन्मा जन्मने का ढोंग करने लगा, कभी न मिटने वाला कभी न टिकने वाले का ढोंग करने लगा। यह मेरा नाम है, इतनी मेरी आयु है, ये मेरे संबंधी हैं, यह मेरा संसार है, इस प्रकार के ढोंगयुक्त वचन कहते हुए, उनकी जीभ काँपती तक नहीं। उन्हें खयाल ही नहीं है।

मेरे प्यारे भाई बहन! ढोंगी को ढंग कहाँ? उसका तो सब ढंग बेढंग है। जिसे ढंग आ गया, उसका ढोंग सदा सदा के लिए चला गया।
