089 संसार परछाई ही है

आपने कभी परछाई पर विचार किया? यद्यपि परछाई प्रकाश का अभाव है, पर प्रकाश से ही उत्पन्न है। प्रकाश के नितांत अभाव में, माने यदि प्रकाश हो ही ना, तो परछाई बन सकती ही नहीं। प्रकाश हो, और उसके मार्ग में कोई बाधा आ जाए तब परछाई बनती है। और वैसी ही बनती है, जैसी बाधा हो।

ऐसा ही संसार है। ज्ञान के प्रकाश में, जब माया बाधा डालती है, अज्ञान का पर्दा डालती है, तब ज्ञान के अभाव से जगत उत्पन्न होता है। और जितना अज्ञान हो उतना ही संसार भासता है। क्या यह आपका अनुभव नहीं है कि सुषुप्ति काल में उस ज्ञान प्रकाश की अनुभूति न रहने पर, संसार का भी नितांत अभाव हो जाता है? तब यह संसार भी नहीं भासता।

परछाई दिखती है, व्यवहार में न्यूनाधिक उपयोग में भी आती है, पर है कुछ नहीं, प्रकाश का अभाव ही है, ऐसे ही संसार दिखता है, व्यवहार में भी आता है, पर है कुछ नहीं, ज्ञान का अभाव ही है।

अब बताएँ, कोई वस्तु कितनी ही गर्म हो, उसकी परछाई छूने से फफोले नहीं पड़ते, भोजन नहीं बनता, शीत नहीं मिटती, ताप नहीं लगता। ठण्डी वस्तु की परछाई से कंपकंपी नहीं चढ़ती। परछाई तो उसी के लिए उपयोगी है, जिसकी आँखें प्रकाश से चौंधिया जाती हैं, उसे कुछ सुविधा हो जाती है। अन्यथा उसके होने से लाभ नहीं, न होने से हानि नहीं।

योंही संसार भी उसी पर प्रभाव डालता है जो ज्ञान प्रकाश सहने में अभी असक्षम है। आप उनमें से नहीं हैं, आप तो सक्षम हैं। सक्षम न होते तो इस समय, यहाँ, यह लेख पढ़ न रहे होते।

जब भगवान ने कृपा कर यहाँ तक पहुँचा ही दिया है, तो क्यों नहीं अभी घोषणा कर देते कि इस झूठे संसार के होने न होने से मुझे कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता।

सूर्य की ओर पीठ करके, अपनी परछाई पकड़ने दौड़ने वाला लाख दौड़े, परछाई पकड़ नहीं सकता। जितना वह दौड़ता है, परछाई भी उतना ही दौड़ जाती है। यदि वह सूर्य की ओर मुख कर ले, तो कहीं भी क्यों न चला जाए, परछाई तो फिर पीछे पीछे ही चलती है।

लोकेशानन्द कहता है कि आप तो कूटस्थ आत्मस्वरूप की ओर चलो, संसार तो फिर पीछे चला ही आता है।
