090 संत और शास्त्र

यह बात तो सही है कि शास्त्र अतीत में हुए संत की वाणी है और संत चलता फिरता शास्त्र है। कालभेद न हो तो दोनों एक ही हैं। लेकिन फिर भी दोनों में एक बड़ा अन्तर है।

शास्त्र चेतन की और इशारा जरूर करता है, चेतन है नहीं। वह पुस्तक है, उसकी पहुँच उस-तक नहीं है। संत न केवल चेतन तक की पहुँच वाला है, स्वयं भी चेतन है।

शास्त्र-साधक संबंध एक आयामी है, साधक की और से ही संबंध है, साधक का ही चुनाव है। संत-साधक संबंध दोनों ओर से है।

शास्त्र साधक के हाथ में है, जबकि साधक संत के हाथ में होता है।

शास्त्र अपनी बात कहकर चुप्पी साध लेता है, संत अपनी बात कहकर, उसे युक्ति एवं अनुभव प्रमाण से सिद्ध भी करता है।

शास्त्र साधक की स्थिति को पहचानता नहीं, इसीलिए शास्त्र जहाँ है वहीं खड़ा रहता है, साधक के स्तर तक नीचे नहीं उतरता। संत साधक को पहचान, उसी के तल की बात कहकर मार्गदर्शन करते हैं।

शास्त्र अंकुश नहीं रखता, संत का सानिध्य ही अंकुश है।

शास्त्र खरीदा जाता है, आप मालिक होते हैं। संत के यहाँ बिका जाता है, संत मालिक होता है।

शास्त्र का मनमाना अर्थ लगाया, तो वह हस्तक्षेप नहीं करता, परीक्षा नहीं करता। संत हस्तक्षेप और परीक्षा दोनों करता है।

यद्यपि शास्त्र उपयोगी है, बहुत उपयोगी है, पर वह संत का पर्याय नहीं है।

मेरे देखे जो केवल मात्र शास्त्र पढ़कर ही ज्ञान पाना चाहता है, वह वास्तव में किसी आत्मज्ञानी महापुरुष के चरणों में न समर्पण ही करना चाहता है, न उनकी सेवा ही करना चाहता है।

अब यदि आप प्रश्न उठाएँ कि शास्त्र तो मैंने खोज लिया, संत को कैसे खोजूं? तो आप कोई एक नाम "राम" या "ओउम्" का जप पकड़कर अपनी पात्रता बढ़ाएँ, भगवान के विधान पर श्रद्धा रखें, वे संत से मिला भी देंगे, उनकी पहचान भी करा देंगे।

आपको संत खोजने जाना नहीं पड़ेगा, वे ही आपको खोजते हुए, आपसे टकरा जाएँगे।

लोकेशानन्द का अनुभव है कि चूकने का अभ्यासी बार बार चूक जाता है। इसीलिए इस बार आप पूरी तैयारी रखना, मौका आए तो चूक मत जाना।

Scripture definitely indicates the conscious, it is not conscious. It is a book, it doesn't reach Bhagwan. Sant not only has access to the conscious, he is also conscious.

Scripture-seeker relationship is one-dimensional, it is from seeker itself, seeker has made the choice. Sant-seeker relationship is two-dimensional.

Scripture is in the hands of seeker, while seeker is in the hands of a sant.

Scripture maintains silence by saying his words. Sant by saying his words, also proves it with evidence and experience.

Scripture does not recognize the position of seeker, that is why scripture stands where it is, does not come down to the level of the seeker. Sant recognizes the seeker, descends on his level and guides him.

Scripture does not keep the curb. Sant himself is the curb.

Scripture is bought, you are the owner. While the sant buys you, sant is the owner.

If you misinterpret the scripture, it does not interfere, it does not check. The sant performs both intervention and examination.

Although scripture is useful, very useful, it is not synonymous with a sant.

I see, who wants to gain knowledge only by reading scriptures, he does not really want to surrender to the feet of any enlightened great man, nor does he want to serve him.

Now if you raise the question that I have find the scripture, but how to find a sant? So increase your eligibility by chanting one name "Ram" or "Oum", have reverence for Bhagwan's law, Bhagwan will also introduce you to a sant, and will make you recognize him.
