107 शाश्वत तृप्ति

भक्त का पहला लक्षण है, प्रत्येक परिस्थिति में अकारण प्रसन्न रहना, शाश्वत तृप्ति। चाहे जो हो जाए, लाख विपरीतता आने पर भी मुखमंडल पर मुस्कान बनी रहे।

भक्त और दुखी, ये दोनों विपरीतार्थक शब्द हैं। आनन्द स्वरूप परमात्मा से जुड़ा हुआ मनुष्य भी यदि दुखी है, तो वो कैसा भक्त है?

"मैं तो अच्छा ही करता हूँ, फिर मेरे साथ बुरा क्यों होता है? मेरी क्या गलती है?" ऐसा कहना ही गलती है। जो हो रहा है वह भगवान की इच्छा से हो रहा है, उसे गलत समझना कोई कम गलती है?

दूसरी बात, हम अच्छा करें, तो कोई उपकार है किसी पर? अच्छा तो करना ही चाहिए। अगर बुरा करें तो कल हमें ही हानि है, अच्छा करें तो कल हमें ही लाभ है। अच्छा तो अपने स्वभाववश, अपने ही लाभ के लिए हुआ करता है। दूसरे का इस बात से क्या लेना देना है?

तीसरे, जब हमें किसी से कुछ बुरा सुनने को मिला, तो सामने वाले के होठ हिले, बस इसी से हमें भ्रम हो गया कि वह बोल रहा है। जबकि वह नहीं बोलता, वह तो निमित्त मात्र है, हमारा प्रारब्ध ही उनसे वैसा बुलवा लेता है।

यदि हम यहाँ न होते, कहीं और, किन्हीं और लोगों के साथ होते, तो वे भी ऐसा ही बोलते। क्योंकि लोग तो बेशक बदल जाते, हमारा माथा तो यही रहता। प्रारब्ध जो बात इनसे कहलवा रहा है, उनसे कहलवा लेता। अगर हमारे भाग्य में गाली खाना न लिखा हो, तो है किसी की औकात कि हमें गाली दे दे?

"उम्र जाया कर दी लोगों ने औरों के वजूद में नुक्स निकालते निकालते।

इतना खुद को तराशा होता तो फरिश्ता बन जाते॥"

अंतिम बात, कितने लोग हैं हमारे परिवार में? क्या छोटे से परिवार में भी, कोई किस बात से प्रसन्न होता है, किस बात से नाराज होता है, हम समझते नहीं?

पूरी दुनिया में कितने लोग हैं, हमें तो दो चार को ही अपना बनाना है। क्या हम में इतना भी सामर्थ्य नहीं कि इन्हें रिझा सकें? तो भगवान को कैसे रिझाएँगे? जो यहाँ असफल है, वो वहाँ भी असफल है।

तो आप तो अपने समय को सही प्रकार से विभाजित करके, सभी जिम्मेदारियों को बढ़िया से बढ़िया निभाते चलो। भाव यह रहे कि हम इनकी नहीं, इनके रूप में भगवान की ही सेवा करते हैं। फिर कोई एकाध गलती हो भी जाए तो गलती नहीं, आखिर-

"गलती उसी से होती है जो कुछ करने निकलता है।

बाकी तो उम्र दूसरे की बुराई करने में निकाल देते हैं॥"

हमें तो उन भगवान के कड़े से कड़े वचन भी प्राण प्रिय होने चाहिएँ। लोकेशानन्द पूछता है कि क्या मीरा ने मुस्कुराते हुए जहर नहीं पी लिया था?

Devotee's first symptom is to be happy without any reason, eternal satisfaction. Regardless of what happens, there should be a smile on his face.

Devotee and unhappiness are antonyms. If a person connected to Bhagwan is also unhappy, then how is he a devotee?

"I do well to all, then why do I have to suffer? What is my fault?" It is a fault to say so. Is it any less wrong to misunderstand what is happening with Bhagwan's will?

Secondly, if we do well, is there a favor to anybody? One must do well. If we do bad then tomorrow we are at a loss, if we do good, tomorrow we only have gain. What is its pressure on the other person?

Thirdly, when we got to hear something bad from someone, his lips move, just because of this we got confused that he is speaking. While he does not speak, he is just an instrument, our destiny has called bad from him.

If we had not been here, had been somewhere else, with other people, they would have said the same. Because people would of course change, but our destiny would have remained the same. Whatever is coming out of their mouths here, it would have come out of some other's mouth there. If there is no abuse in our destiny, is it anyone's position to abuse us?

"People lost their age seeing the shortcomings in others. Had they cured themself so much, they would have become deity."

Last thing, how many people are there in our family? Of course you have a small family. Do we not even understand what someone is happy about and what someone is angry about.

There are so many people in the whole world, we have to make two or four our own. Do we not have enough strength to woo them? So how will you please Bhagwan? What is unsuccessful here, is also unsuccessful there.

By dividing your time properly, all tasks have to be performed to the best. Love should be there in every work. We do not serve the world, in their form we serve Bhagwan only. Then even if there is some mistake, it is not a mistake, after all-

"The mistake is made only by those who do something. The rest spend their age to do evil to others."

We should love even the sternest words of Bhagwan. lokeshanand asks if Meera did not drink poison while smiling?
