Bhagwan says- "Shraddhavanam labhte gyanam"
And "Sanshyatma vinashyati"
Reverence and skepticism are antonyms. If there is reverence, how should you be skeptical? And if there is doubt, where can reverence stay?
See, this reverence is a very valuable thing. Till date, whoever has got something, has got as a result of his reverence. No matter how beautiful a body is, if it is dead, then what is the value? No matter how much sophisticated intelligence is there, if there is no reverence, then the intellect is of two pennies.
It is the result of doubt that wherever you see, there is anxiety, tension, unease, confusion, perplexity, disappointment, sorrow. What will happen? When will it happen? How it will happen? Everyone seems to ask similar questions. When the vampire of doubt heads up, the heart gets discouraged, life becomes deserted, the body is exhausted, excitement dies, and life becomes poisonous.
Note that if the pot has a crack, one of the legs of the tripod is broken, the stone lying under it is crooked, and the land is also marshy, then how to save water? In the same way if there is a weak body, a confused, resolutionless, reverenceless mind, then how can happiness last?
If the root dries out, then the tree is sure to die. If the rope is broken with the help of which one wants to cross the river, it is sure to sink. If the peg on which something is to be hanged is weak, it is bound to fall. So on the basis of the reverence on which the building of life stands, in the absence of that reverence, if life falls apart, how is it surprising?
Lokeshanand says that crawling like an insects, being born in mud, dying in the mud with agony, is not the grace of man.
"I am part of ubiquitous, omniscience, all mighty Bhagwan, I am a descendant of the great sants, how can sorrow effect me?"
"Why should I believe in the fulfillment of my life only in the longing of the pleasures of this world? Even in the most harsh of circumstances, I will perform the means with a firm heart, and leaving jeevabhaav, I will dissolve in Shivatva." Such reverence is needed.
