125 हिरण्यकशिपु

बड़ी विचित्र कथा है, कश्यप जी ॠषि थे, दिति ने काम की छाया में गर्भ धारण किया तो पुत्र राक्षस पैदा हुए। हिरण्यकशिपु राक्षस था, कयाधु ने नामजप की छाया में गर्भ धारण किया तो प्रह्लाद जैसा पुत्र पैदा हुआ।

हिरण्य माने जगत, कशिपु माने शैय्या, जो भोगी है वह हिरण्यकशिपु। इसी को हिरण्यांकुश भी कहा, जिस पर प्रकृति का अंकुश हो। देह को मैं मानने वाला प्रत्येक मनुष्य हिरण्यकशिपु है।

प्रेम ही प्रह्लाद है। अंतःकरण में भगवद् प्रेम की वृत्ति उत्पन्न हो जाना ही प्रह्लाद का जन्म हो जाना है।

यों तो हर समय, लाखों प्रह्लाद मारे ही जाते हैं। अनेक बार संतोपदेश श्रवण से अंतःकरण में भगवान को पाने की कामना पैदा होती है, पर हम स्वयं हिरण्यकशिपु बनकर, इस प्रह्लाद को जगत के छोटे छोटे कार्यों रूपी पहाड़ से गिरा कर मार डालते हैं-

"गृह कारज नाना जंजाला।

ते अति दुर्गम शैल विशाला॥"

कभी सागर में, माने वासना के जल में डुबा डालते हैं। तो कभी मद रूपी हाथी के पैरों तले कुचलवा देते हैं।

कोई विरला मनुष्य, जिसे नारद रूपी नादरंध्र की प्राप्ति वाले महापुरुष मिल जाते हैं, माने किन्हीं सद्गुरुदेव का सशरीर सानिध्य और मार्गदर्शन प्राप्त होता है, अपनी भगवद् प्रेम की डोरी न टूटने देते हुए, इन समस्त विघ्नों को पार कर पाता है।

प्राप्ति काल में माया अपना आखिरी फंदा डालती है, अविद्या रूपी होलिका, प्रेम रूपी प्रह्लाद को, विषय रूपी अग्नि में, विषयाग्नि में, जलाकर मारने की प्रयास करती है, पर स्वयं ही जल मरती है।

अंत में स्थिर श्वास, स्थिर विचार, स्थिर साधन रूपी खम्बे से वह आत्मस्वरूप प्रकट होता है और जीव अपने सत्य स्वरूप को पा कर, मरणधर्मा नर से, भयरहित सिंह हो जाता है। यही नरसिंह अवतार का आध्यात्मिक रहस्य है।

तब भीतर बाहर, ऊपर नीचे, दिन रात, पशु मनुष्य का भेद नहीं रहता, द्वैत की सर्वथा अवज्ञा हो जाती है, अद्वैत उतर आता है, हिरण्यकशिपु मारा जाता है।

लोकेशानन्द का मत है कि जगत काँटों से भरा है, इसे चमड़े से नहीं मढ़ा जा सकता। त्रिगुणात्मिका प्रकृति सदा से ऐसी ही है, पर श्रद्धापूर्वक साधन से, अपने पैरों पर चमड़ा मढ़ा जा सकता है।

It is a very strange story, Kashyap was a sage, Diti conceived in the shadow of lust and demons were born. Hiranyakashipu was a demon, Kayadhu conceived in the shadow of chanting, then a son like Prahlad was born.

Hiranya means world, Kashipu means bed, the one who is lustful is Hiranyakashipu. He is also called Hiranyankush, who has a curb of maya. Every person who believes himself body is Hiranyakashipu.

Divine love is Prahlad. Rising instinct of Bhagwan's love in intellect is birth of Prahlad.

Thus, millions of Prahlad are killed all the time. Many times when you listen to the sermon of a Sant, it creates the desire to find Bhagwan, but we ourselves, as Hiranyakashipu, kill this Prahlad by dropping it from the mountain of negligible works of the world.

"Grih kaaraj nana janjala,

Te ati durgam shail vishala."

Sometimes we immerse Prahlad in an ocean filled with lust. And sometimes Prahlad is crushed under an elephant's feet called ego.

A rare man, who has found a great man like Naarad, who has the physical presence and guidance of a sant, by not letting the cord of Bhagwan's love break, is able to overcome all these obstacles.

In the realization period, Maya throws her last trap, Holika in the form of ignorance, tries to kill Prahlad, in the fire of the lust, but she herself burns into ashes.

In the end, from the pillar symbolizing steady breathing, steady thought and stable means, the true form emerges, and jeeva becomes a fearless lion. This is the spiritual secret of Narsingh avatar.

Then there is no difference like in or out, up and down, day and night, animal or man, duality is completely eliminated, advait is achieved, Hiranyakashipu is killed.

Lokeshanand is of the opinion that the world is full of thorns, it cannot be covered with leather. But with reverential means, your feet can be covered with leather.
