141 राम पदकमल से आत्मपद

पद कौन नहीं पाना चाहता? पद का झगड़ा तो पशुजगत में भी देखा जाता है, फिर मनुष्य का तो कहना ही क्या? अपने अपने स्तर अनुसार गली नुक्कड़ की नगण्य "सेवा समिति" से लेकर "संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघ" पर्यन्त कौन सा पद है जिसे पाकर कोई फूला नहीं समाता?

लेकिन यह भी यथार्थ है कि एक तो किसी भी पद पर कोई सदा सदा के लिए प्रतिष्ठित नहीं हो सकता। दूसरे, किसी भी पद से शान्ति नहीं मिलती।

पर एक पद ऐसा है जिस पर एक बार बैठना हो जाए, तो महाप्रलय की अग्नि भी तुम्हें उससे गिरा नहीं सकती, और वहाँ शान्ति नहीं परमशान्ति है। वह कोई ऐसा पद नहीं कि जिस पर एक ही बैठ सकता हो या कि यह ही कहा जा सके की यह ही बैठ सकता है, वह नहीं। उस पर बच्चा, बूढ़ा, स्त्री, पुरूष, नपुंसक, धर्मात्मा, चांडाल, कोई भी बैठ सकता है। शर्त बस एक है, उसके पास मनुष्य शरीर हो। वह पद है आत्मपद।

विचित्रता यह है कि इस आत्मपद का रास्ता एक अन्य ही पद से होकर गुजरता है। जब तक वह "अन्य" पद जीवन में न आए, आत्मपद मिल सकता ही नहीं।

ध्यान दें, रामजी ने हनुमानजी से कहा- हनुमान! विभीषण को लंका का पद मिला, सुग्रीव को किष्किंधा का पद मिला, अंगद युवराज हो गया, पर तुम्हें कोई पद नहीं मिला।

हनुमानजी की आखों में आँसू आ गए, बोले- प्रभु! मुझे जो मिला वह तो किसी को भी नहीं मिला। मुझे तो एक नहीं, दो दो पद मिले हैं।

रामजी हैरान हैं- कौन से हनुमान?

हनुमानजी रामजी के चरणों से लिपट गए, कहने लगे- ये दोनों पद प्रभु!

यही वो पद कमल है, जिसके लिए भरतलाल जी ने राज पद ठुकरा कर कहा-

"देखे बिनु रघुनाथ पद जिय की जलन न जाई॥"

यह पद कमल आपको मिल जाए तो जगत का विष भी विश्राम हो जाए-

"रघुपति चरण हृदय धरि तात मधुर फल खाई॥"

लोकेशानन्द का अनुभव है कि इसी पद कमल से होकर ही वह रास्ता जाता है, जो सीधे आत्मपद पर बैठा देता है-

"राम चरण पंकज उर धरहु।

लंका अचल राज तुम करहु॥"

Who does not want to get a post? The quarrel of the post is also seen in the animal kingdom, then what to say about human beings? According to their own level, from the negligible "Service Committee" of street corner to "United Nations" what is the post that one doesn't puffed up after getting?

But it is also true that one cannot sit on any post forever. Secondly, no post brings peace.

But there is a post on which if you sit once, even the fire of the holocaust cannot fall you from that, and there is absolute peace there. It is not a post on which only one can sit, neither it can be said that only some particular person can sit, and others can't. Children, old men, women, men, eunuchs, devotees, sinner, anyone can sit on it. The condition is just one, one must be in human body. That post is Enlightenment.

The oddity is that the path to this enlightenment passes through another post. Until that "other" post comes to life, enlightenment can not be achieved.

Note! Ram ji said to Hanuman ji- Hanuman! Vibhishan got the post of Lanka, Sugriv got the post of Kishkindha, Angad became the crown prince, but you did not get any post.

Hanuman ji got tears in his eyes, said- Bhagwan! No one got what I got. I have not got one post, but two.

Ram ji is surprised- Which Hanuman?

Hanuman ji clung to the feet of Ram ji, saying- These two feet, Prabhu!

These are the feet, for which Bharat lal ji turned down the throne of Ayodhya and said-

"Dekhe binu Raghunath pad jiya ki jalan na jayi"

If you get these feet, even the poison of whole world becomes nectar for you-

"Raghupati charan hriday dhari taat madhur fal khayi."

The experience of lokeshanand is that only through these feet, that path leads, through which you directly attain enlightenment.

"Ram charan pankaj ur dharahu,

Lanka achal raj tum karahu."
