151 भगवान का घर

देखो! वस्तु जितनी कीमती हो, वह उतनी ही सहेज कर रखी जाती है। पदार्थ जितना पवित्र हो, उसे उतने ही पवित्र पात्र में रखा जाता है। ऐसे ही उपदेश जितना ऊँचा हो, उसे उतनी ही उच्च अवस्था वाले साधक को दिया जाता है। शिष्य भाव से रहित, वैराग्यहीन, अश्रद्धावान मनुष्य को दिया गया उपदेश तो वैसे ही अपवित्र हो जाता है, जैसे कुत्ते के चमड़े से बने कुप्पे में रख दिया गया गाय का दूध।

आज सौ बात की एक बात! हृदय जलाना पाप है। यदि इस संसार में सब से बड़ा कोई पाप है तो यही है। क्योंकि हृदय ही भगवान का घर है। भगवान हृदय में ही बैठ कर मन, बुद्धि, इन्द्रियों को प्रकाशित करते हैं। हृदय जलता है, तो कोमलातिकोमल भगवान को ताप लगता है। उन्हें कष्ट होता है। इसीलिए सदा यह स्मृति रखो कि हृदय में भगवान हैं।

चाहे कुछ भी हो जाए, कोई कुछ भी कहे, कुछ भी करे, कैसी भी हानि हो, कैसा ही अपमान हो, कितनी ही निन्दा हो, न तो तुम अपना हृदय जलने दो, न ही दूसरे का हृदय जलाओ।

"हृदय में भगवान रहते हैं।" इस बात का स्मरण रखना, बड़े से बड़ा साधन है।

अन्य साधनों को बड़ी दृढ़ता से करने वाला साधक भी, छोटी छोटी बातों पर, क्रोध के आवेग में पड़ कर, जब अपना और दूसरे का हृदय जलाता है, तो बताए कि वह किसे जला रहा है? वह किसे दुख पहुँचा रहा है? वह क्या भूल रहा है? वह उन हृदयस्थ भगवान को जला रहा है, उन्हें ही दुख पहुँचा रहा है और उन्हीं भगवान को ही भूल रहा है।

अनन्त साधन किए, पर हृदयस्थ भगवान की स्मृति न रही, तो कोई लाभ नहीं। और यदि कुछ भी न किया हो, पर सदा हृदय में बैठे भगवान की स्मृति रहे, तो अनन्त लाभ है।

लोकेशानन्द की बात पर ध्यान दें! जैसे विषय सामने होने पर भी, जब तक मन विषयाकार न हो, विषय का ज्ञान नहीं होता, मन के विषयाकार होने पर ही विषय जानने में आता है। ऐसे ही, जब तक इस बात की स्मृति न हो कि मन में भगवान बैठे हैं, मन भगवदाकार नहीं होता। और जब तक मन भगवदाकार नहीं होता, भगवान का दर्शन नहीं होता।

Look! The more valuable the thing, the more carefully it is preserved. The more sacred the substance, it is kept in the more sacred vessel. Similarly, the higher the sermon, it is given to a seeker of higher eligibility. A sermon given to someone who is lustful, unbelieving and without discipleship, becomes as impure as cow's milk kept in a flask made of dog's skin.

One main thing today! Burning the heart is a sin. If there is any biggest sin in this world, it is burning the heart. Because the heart is Bhagwan's house. Bhagwan, sitting in the heart, illuminates the mind and senses. When the heart burns, then Bhagwan feels heat. He gets hurt. That is why always remember that Bhagwan is in your heart.

No matter what happens, whatever someone says, whatever someone does, no matter how much harm is done, how much insult, neither let your heart burn, nor burn the heart of others.

"Bhagwan resides in the heart." Remembering this is the greatest means.

Even a seeker who does other means with great determination, when he burns his own and other's heart on small things, in the impulse of anger, then tell whom he is burning? Whom is he hurting? Whom is he forgetting? He is burning Bhagwan, hurting Bhagwan and forgetting only that Bhagwan.

If you have done infinite means, but there is no remembrance of Bhagwan in your heart, then there is no benefit. And if you have not done anything, but always have the memory of Bhagwan sitting in the heart, then there is infinite benefit.

Pay attention to Lokeshanand's point! Just as, even when the subject is in front, unless the mind is subject oriented, there is no knowledge of the subject, only when the mind is subject oriented, comes to know the subject. Similarly, unless there is a remembrance of the fact that Bhagwan is sitting in the heart, the heart does not become divine. And unless the heart becomes divine, there is no attainment of Bhagwan.
