"ढोल गंवार शुद्र पशु नारी"

इसे समझने के लिए सबसे पहले ताड़ना शब्द को किसी वाक्य में प्रयोग करो।

"मैं बादल देखते ही ताड़ गया कि आज बारिश होगी।"

तो ताड़ना माने समझना। माने पहले समझो, फिर बर्ताव करो।

ढोल बजाना आता हो तो बजाओ। उसकी ताल, मात्रा, स्वर समझकर बजाओ, तब संगीत निकलेगा। बिना समझे मत बजाओ।

गंवार माने गाँव का, भोलाभाला, उसे कठिन यांत्रिक कार्य मत दो। पहले समझ लो कि उसकी क्षमता कितनी है, फिर ही जिम्मेदारी दो।

क्षुद्र माने नया नया साधक। अभी छोटा है, नया विद्यार्थी है, अभी ठीक से साधन नहीं कर पाएगा। उसे कुछ व्यवस्था में लगाकर साथ साथ रखो, समय बीतते बीतते साधन पकड़कर पार हो जाएगा।

पशु। हाथी को अंकुश से, साँप को लाठी खड़काकर, बैल को पानी डालकर संभालते हैं। सबको एक लाठी से मत हड़काओ।

अब नारी, नारी माने औरत नहीं है। यहाँ सब नारियाँ हैं, यहाँ कोई अपने को पुरुष मानने की भूल न करे। पुरूष तो एकमात्र परमात्मा है। स्त्री माने सः+त्री, माने जो तीन से बंधा है, त्रिदेह, त्रिवस्था और त्रिगुण से बंधा है। जिसके हृदय में वासना की नाली बहती है, वो नारी है। हर संसारी नारी है। संसारासक्तों, संसारियों से सोचसमझ कर बर्ताव करो। वासना में डूबे, स्वप्न में खोये संसारी को समझकर संभालो। वह नहीं जानता कि वह क्या कर रहा है, क्या बोल रहा है। वह मूर्छा में है, उसे सामान्यतया मत लो।

लोकेशानन्द कहता है कि शास्त्र में शब्द तो वही हैं पर उनका वास्तविक आशय तभी समझ में आता है जब उसका अर्थ समाधि भाषा से लगाया जाए। परेशानी तब आती है जब शास्त्र का अर्थ सामान्यतया लगा लिया जाता है। जबकी विशेष का अर्थ विशेषतया ही लगाया जाना चाहिए।

"Dhol Gawar Shudra Pashu Naari"

To understand this, first of all use the word "Tadna" in a sentence.

"I understood when I saw the clouds that it would rain today."

So tadna means to understand. First understand, then behave.

Dhol- If you know how to play the drum, then play it. Play it considering its rhythm, volume, tone, then music will come out. Don't play without understanding.

Gawar- Gawar means who is gullible. It doesn't mean fool. Don't give him hard mechanical work. First understand that what is his capacity, then give the responsibility.

Shudra- Shudra means young, a new seeker. He is still a child on spiritual path, he is a new student, unable to do the means properly. Assign him some duty and keep with you, with the passage of time he will grow and will do the means.

Pashu- The animal. An elephant is handled by prod, the snake is handled by the sound of a stick, the bull is handled by sprinkling water. Don't beat everyone with a stick.

Naari- Naari doesn't mean woman. Here all are naari, here no one should make the mistake of considering himself as a Nar. Bhagwan is the only Nar. Naari means one who is tied to three, to Trideha, Trivastha and Triguna. In whose mind the drain of lust flows, he is naari. All the worldly people are naari. Treat them with understanding. They are lost in their dreams, immersed in lust. They don't know what they are doing, what they are saying. They are unconscious, don't take them as normal.

Lokeshanand says that in the scriptures the words are the same, but their real meaning is understood only when its meaning is taken from Samadhi language. The trouble comes when the meaning of scripture is taken generally. Whereas special should be interpreted exclusively.
