180 मन का पलड़ा

मनुष्य मात्र के अन्त:करण में एक युद्ध चल रहा है, सुमति और कुमति का। इसी का नाम देव-असुर संग्राम है। दैवी गुणों और आसुरी अवगुणों में, वानरी सेना और राक्षसी सेना में, पाण्डवों और कौरवों में, अच्छे और बुरे में, उपासना और वासना में, धर्मक्षेत्र और कुरुक्षेत्र में होने वाला युद्ध भी यही है।

एक ओर धर्मक्षेत्र है, धर्म का पक्ष है, जिसका मानना है कि कल्याण संसार से न होगा, धन से न होगा, बल से न होगा, परिजनों से न होगा। कल्याण तो भगवान के आश्रय में रहने से होगा, उनकी ईच्छा को अपनी ईच्छा बनाने से होगा।

कल्याण जगत का, देह का, मन का अनुसरण करने से नहीं होगा। कल्याण तो शास्त्र का, संत का, भगवान का अनुसरण करने से होगा। ऐसा मानने वाला धर्म के पक्ष में खड़ा है।

दूसरी और कुरुक्षेत्र है, कुरु क्षेत्र है, कुरु माने करना, माने कर्तृत्वाभिमान का पक्ष। जो मानता है कि मेरे किए बिना कैसे होगा? जो भी मुझे करना है मैं स्वयं कर लूंगा, मुझे संत की या किसी अन्य की क्या आवश्यकता है? मेरे पास बुद्धि है, बल है, धन है, परिवार और मित्र हैं, रसूख है। मैं क्या नहीं कर सकता? ऐसा मानने वाला अधर्म के पक्ष में है।

जो संसार में ही रच-पच गया, जिसके जीवन का लक्ष्य केवल कमाना, खाना और पैखाना है, वह तो राक्षस है। वह माया के हाथ का खिलौना बनकर यहीं सड़ेगा।

लेकिन वह जो एक बार दृढ़ निश्चय करके, सदा सदा के लिए धर्म के ही पलड़े पर खड़ा हो गया, किसी संत का हो गया, वह मंजिल पा गया, संसार से पार हो गया।

ध्यान से देखो, रावण जैसा शास्त्रों का ज्ञाता, अपार सेना, अनन्त वैभव, संपूर्ण छल बल और भरापूरा परिवार होते हुए भी हार गया। जबकी भगवान के आश्रय में चलने वाली पैदल, शस्त्र विहीन वानरी सेना, जीत गई।

दुर्योधन जैसा दुष्ट, भीष्म और द्रोणाचार्य जैसे बड़े बड़े धुरंधरों, नारायणी सेना, निन्यानवे भाईयों और सत्ता बल के होते हुए भी मारा गया। जबकी अर्जुन ने भगवान को चुना तो जीत गया।

रामकथा में बलवान इन्द्रपुत्र बालि मारा गया, डरपोक सूर्यपुत्र सुग्रीव जीत गया। तो महाभारत में सूर्यपुत्र कर्ण मारा गया, इन्द्रपुत्र अर्जुन जीत गया।

हिरण्यकशिपु मारा गया, प्रह्लाद का बाल भी बाँका नहीं हुआ। मीरा को जहर भी अमृत हो गया। कौन है जिसने धर्म का पक्ष चुना हो, और जीता न हो?

लोकेशानन्द कहता है कि आप कौन हो, क्या हो, कैसे हो, किसके पुत्र हो, इसकी कोई कीमत नहीं है। कीमती बात तो यह है कि आप किस पक्ष में हो? जगत के या जगदीश के?

There is a war going on in the heart of human beings, between Sumati and Kumati. This war is also called as Dev-Asura war, battle between divine virtues and demonic vices, monkey army and demons, Pandavs and Kauravs, good and bad, devotion and lust, Dharmakshetra and Kurukshetra.

On the one hand, there is Dharmakshetra, the side of devotion, which believes that welfare will not come from the world, from money, from power, from family members. The welfare will be done by staying in Bhagwan's shelter, by making His wish your wish.

Welfare will not come from following the world, or body, or the mind. Welfare will be done by following the scriptures, sant and Bhagwan. Those who believe in this are on the side of devotion.

On the other hand, there is Kurukshetra, Kuru Kshetra, who believe in efforts only, who are full of ego of doership. Who believes that how would anything can be achieved without me? Whatever I want to do, I will do it myself, why do I need a sant or someone else? I have intelligence, strength, wealth, family and friends, influence. What can't I do? One who believes in this is in favor of unrighteousness.

The one who got absorbed in the world, whose goal of life is only to earn, eat and defecate, he is a demon. He will rot here only as a toy in Maya's hand.

But the one who once, with a firm determination, stood on the scale of devotion for ever and ever, who accompanied a sant, he attained the destination, crossed the world.

Look carefully, Ravan was defeated despite being a knower of scriptures, having immense army, infinite splendor, full deceit and big family. Whereas under Bhagwan's shelter, army of monkeys, who was barefoot and without weapons, won.

The wicked like Duryodhan, was killed in spite of support of great men like Bhishm and Dronacharya, Narayani army, ninety nine brothers and powerful army. While Arjun chose Bhagwan and won.

In Ram Katha, Indra's son, brave Bali was killed, Surya's son, fearful Sugriv won. In Mahabharat, Surya's son Karn was killed, Indra's son Arjun won.

Hiranyakashipu was killed, Prahlad survived. For Meera poison also became nectar. Who is the one who has chosen Bhagwan and has not won?

Lokeshanand says that whoever you are, whatever you are, however you are, whose son you are, it has no value. The important thing is, which side are you on? World's or Bhagwan's?
