192 आत्मज्ञान के बाद

आज हम विचार करेंगे कि "आत्मज्ञान" के बाद क्या? चोटी का प्रश्न है। यह जान लिया तो सब जान लिया।

बारिकी से समझें, आप अपने कमरे की खिड़की पर बैठे थे, कि सामने गली में दृष्टि पड़ी। वहाँ एक चाँदी का सिक्का पड़ा दिखाई दिया।

सिक्के ने आपके मन को अपने आकार में ढाल दिया, तब कामना हुई कि सिक्का पा लूं, और उस कामना से इन्द्रियों और शरीर में चेष्टा पैदा हुई।

आप बाहर दौड़े। पर पहुँचे तो देखते हैं कि वहाँ सिक्का नहीं है, कोकाकोला की ठिप्पी है।

अब जब सत्य मालूम पड़ गया तो उसे पाने की कामना रही क्या? नहीं रही। कामना न रही तो चेष्टा भी न रही। आप मुस्कुराते हुए वापिस अपने कमरे की उसी खिड़की पर आ बैठे।

लोकेशानन्द का प्रश्न यह है कि अब भी जब आप उसी ओर देखते हैं तो आपको क्या दिखता है? आप कहेंगे कोकाकोला की ठिप्पी। पर ऐसा है नहीं, आपको दिखता सिक्का ही है। क्योंकि यहाँ इस दूरी और कोण से वह ठिप्पी, सिक्का ही दिखती है। पर हैरानी यह है कि अब आपको उसकी प्राप्ति की कामना और चेष्टा नहीं होती। क्योंकि आप भलीभांति जानते हैं, अपने अनुभव से जानते हैं कि जो दिख रहा है वो है नहीं।

बस ऐसा ही है। वही जगत जो आत्मज्ञान से पूर्व, सत्य मालूम पड़ने से, प्राप्ति की कामना और चेष्टा पैदा करता था। अब आत्मज्ञान हो जाने पर, जगत के मिथ्यात्व का बुद्धि में दृढ़ निश्चय हो जाने पर, कामना पैदा नहीं कर पाता।

माने ऐसा नहीं है कि आत्मज्ञान होने पर जगत दिखाई देना ही बंद हो जाता है। जगत तो दिखता है, जैसा पहले दिखता था वैसा ही दिखता है, पर अब वह कामना पैदा करने में सक्षम नहीं रहा। क्योंकि अब आप जानते हैं कि जो दिख रहा है, जैसा दिख रहा है, वैसा है नहीं।

बस इतनी सी बात है।

Today we will consider what after "Enlightenment"?

Understand closely, you were sitting at the window of your room, that you saw something lying in the street. A silver coin was seen lying there.

The coin molded your mind into its shape, then there was a desire to get the coin, and that desire created an effort in your senses and body.

You ran outside. But when you reached there, you saw that there is no coin, there is a Coca-Cola's cap.

Now when the truth is known, will you still desire to get it? No! When there is no desire, there is no effort. You came back smiling at the same window of your room.

Lokeshanand's question is, what do you see even now when you look in the same direction? You would say Coca-Cola's cap. But it is not so, you see only a coin. Because here from this distance and angle that cap is seen as a coin. But the surprising thing is that now neither you desire it nor make any effort to get it. Because you know very well, you know from your own experience that what you are seeing, is not there.

It's just like that. The same world which before enlightenment used to create desire and effort in your intellect. Now, after enlightenment, having a firm determination in the intellect of the falsity of the world, it is unable to create desire.

It is not so that the world is not visible after enlightenment. The world appears, appears the same as it used to, but now it is no longer capable of creating desire. Because now you know that what you see is not what you see.

It's just that.
