392 रुक्मिणी प्रसंग

जीव की भगवान से स्वयं को चुन लेने की प्रार्थना करना और भगवान द्वारा जीव की प्रार्थना का स्वीकार कर लिया जाना रुक्मिणी स्वयंवर है। चुनाव तो प्रत्येक जीव करता है, पर कोई विरला ही भगवान को चुनता है। यदि कोई एकबार एक भगवान को अपना मन समर्पित कर दे, भगवान उसका वरण करते ही हैं। यही रुक्मिणी प्रसंग का मूल संदेश है।

प्रारंभ में मन का पाँच इन्द्रियों के नियंत्रण में रहना ही रुक्मिणी का रुक्मी आदि पाँच भाईयों के अधीन रहना है। रुक्मी आदि चाहते हैं कि रुक्मिणी को शिशुपाल के साथ ब्याह दिया जाए। अहंकार ही शिशुपाल है। पर रुक्मिणी तो सदा ही भगवान की है। कुछ समय अवश्य लगा, कुछ देरी और दूरी अवश्य हुई, पर अंततः भगवान की प्राप्ति हुई ही।

अब आप एक एक शब्द पर ध्यान दें-

पुण्य जागृत होने पर, परमात्मा के द्वार द्वारिका से, श्री कृष्ण चरित्र देख कर लौटे हुए एक भगवद्प्राप्त महापुरुष ने, ब्रह्म को जानने वाले ब्राह्मण ने, संत ने, अंतःकरण के दरबार में, श्री कृष्ण के स्वरूप, गुण और कथाओं का वर्णन किया, ब्रह्म ज्ञान का उपदेश किया।

संतमुख से भगवान की कथा सुनकर, सत्संग प्राप्त कर, रुक्मिणी ने भगवान की हो जाने का निश्चय कर लिया और उन्हीं संत के हाथों, अनन्त कोटि ब्रह्माण्ड नायक आनन्दकंद भगवान श्री कृष्णचन्द्र के पास, श्रद्धा निवेदन किया। संत ने मनोयोग के घोड़े पर सवार होकर, भगवान तक संदेश पहुँचा दिया।

भगवान तो मानो प्रतीक्षा में ही थे। संदेश मिलने तक की देरी थी, भगवान के आने में देरी नहीं हुई। भगवान आए और सबके देखते देखते रुक्मिणी को ले गए। 

लोकेशानन्द कहता है कि जीव को भगवान की कथा सुनाना और भगवान तक जीव की व्यथा पहुँचाना, यही संत का काम है। उसका अपना कुछ नहीं है। वह तो डाकिया है। वह तो संदेश वाहक है, संदेश उसका नहीं है, भगवान का है। यदि उसके पहुँचाए संदेशों से, आपके मन की रुक्मिणी भी भगवान की हो गई हो, तो आप भी अपनी श्रद्धा भगवान के चरणों में समर्पित किया करें। यह जगत देखता रह जाएगा, और कृपासिंधु भगवान द्वारा आपको भी अपना लिया जाएगा।

Jeev's prayer to Bhagwan to choose himself and acceptance of Jeev's prayer by Bhagwan is Rukmini Swayamvar. Every Jeev makes a choice, but a rare person chooses Bhagwan. If one surrenders his mind to Bhagwan once, Bhagwan accepts him surely. This is the basic message of Rukmini episode.

Initially mind remains in control of five senses. This is the control of Rukmi etc. five brothers on Rukmini. Rukmi etc. want Rukmini to get married with Shishupal. Shishupal is ego. But Rukmini always belongs to Bhagwan only. It took some time, but eventually she attained Bhagwan.

Now pay attention to each word-

On awakening the virtues, a great sage who returned from the doorway of the divine "Dwarika" seeing Krishna leela, the Brahmin who knew Brahm, the sant, in the court of mind, described the nature, qualities and katha of Shri Krishna, preached Brahm Gyaan.

Hearing Bhagwan's Katha from Sant's mouth, receiving satsang, Rukmini chooses Bhagwan and through the sant offered her reverence to the eternal cosmic hero Anandakand Bhagwan Shri Krishna Chandra. The sant rode on the horse of ManoYog, and conveyed the message to Bhagwan.

As if Bhagwan was waiting. There was a delay in getting the message, not in Bhagwan's arrival. Everyone kept looking, Bhagwan came and took Rukmini.

Lokeshanand says that it is the job of a sant to tell Bhagwan's Katha to Jeev and to convey the sufferings of Jeev to Bhagwan. He has nothing of his own. He is a postman. He is the communicator, the message is not his, but Bhagwan's. If by the messages sent by him, your mind also belongs to Bhagwan, you should also surrender your reverence at Bhagwan's feet. This world will keep on watching, and you will also be adopted by merciful Bhagwan.
