हिन्दू नववर्ष, चैत्र शुक्ल एकम्, विक्रमी सम्वत् २०८० की बहुत बहुत शुभकामनाओं सहित कुछ साधकोपयोगी चर्चा।

परंपरा पालन के तीन आयाम हैं।

पहला, परिवार के स्तर पर नई पीढ़ी में संस्कार पड़ जाएँ, छोटे छोटे बालकों को अपने इतिहास और संस्कृति की जानकारी हो जाए। महापुरुषों के प्रति गर्व और स्वाभिमान में वृद्धि हो। 

दूसरा आयाम, राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर सनातन हिन्दू आचार, विचार और व्यवहार के प्रति श्रद्धा उत्पन्न हो। अपने देश के मूल प्राण "धर्म" का प्रचार प्रसार हो और समाज में समरसता का भाव उत्पन्न हो।

तीसरा और सबसे महत्वपूर्ण आयाम, आध्यात्मिक स्तर पर ऋषियों द्वारा प्रमाणित मार्ग पर चलकर, परमात्मा प्राप्ति रूपी एकमात्र लक्ष्य को पाकर, इस परम पवित्र भारत भूमि पर जन्म लेने का लाभ लिया जाए।

विचार करें, कैलेण्डर में चैत लगने से जीवन में चैत नहीं आता। और बाहर भले लाख बार लगे, जीवन में न लगे, तो लगा न लगा एक बराबर है, कोई लाभ नहीं, कोई भी लाभ नहीं।

देखें, प्रस्तुत नौ दिन, सामान्य नहीं हैं, विशेष हैं। यह वह पुरानी बंधन में डालने वाली मोह रूपी रात्रि नहीं, नवरात्रि है, नई रात है। यह वही है, जिसमें संसारी सोया रहता है, पर संयमी जाग जाता है, सदा सदा के लिए जाग जाता है, फिर वह सोता ही नहीं, वह तो मुक्त ही हो जाता है।

ध्यान दो! चित का चेत जाना ही चैत है, होश में आ जाना, जाग जाना। याद आ जाए की जाना कहाँ है? पूरा जीवन जिसने माँग माँग कर, भिखारी बन कर बिता दिया, इन आठ दिन मन को रोक ले, कुछ न चाहे, कुछ न माँगे। इन आठ दिनों में व्रत नियम उपवास करे, संकल्प करे, जगज्जननी जगदम्बा भक्ति देवी की उपासना करे, अष्टधा मूल प्रकृति के बंधन को काट डाले, और नवें दिन, जीवन में असली नवमी आ जाए, नव, नया सूर्य निकल आए, भगवान अन्त:करण में अवतार ले लें, राम जन्म हो जाए, राम नवमी हो जाए।

There are three dimensions to this tradition.

Think! Because 'Chaitra' in the calendar doesn't bring 'Chaitra' in life. And even you saw a million Chaitra outside, if it is not in life, there is no use, no use at all.

See! The nine days of 'Navaratri' are not ordinary, they are special. It is not the general night of fascination, it is Navratri, the new night. This is the one in which the world remains asleep, but the abode wakes up, regains consciousness, then he can't be deceived, he is freed up.

Pay attention! 'Chaitra' means to be conscious, to wake up. Who spent the whole life in begging for material things, if meditates these eight days, desires nothing, dosen't ask for anything, restrains, pledges, worships Bhakti Devi, Mother of the universe 'Jagadamba', cuts off the bondage of maya, and on the ninth day, real 'Navami' comes in life, nava, new Sun arises, Bhagwan incarnates in conscience, Ram is born. Then is the real 'Ram Navami'.
