407 साधक

देखो! साधक तीन प्रकार के होते हैं- पक्षी जैसे, चींटी जैसे और बंदर जैसे। पक्षी जैसा साधक तुरंत उड़ पहुँचता है। चींटी जैसे साधक को समय लगता है पर वह अंततः पहुँचता ही है। बंदर जैसा इधर से उधर कूदता ही रह जाता है।

बंदर जैसे के लिए यह बात नहीं समझाई जा रही है, यहाँ तो चींटियों जैसों को पक्षी जैसा बनाने का प्रयास किया जा रहा है। सभी चींटी जैसे साधक ध्यान दें-

अपने साधन से कभी भी तृप्त न होओ, यहाँ तक की अपने आँसुओं को भी अपने प्रेम का प्रमाण मत मानो। वे अभ्यास से भी निकल आते हैं और स्वाभाविक आर्तता से भी। संसार वाले तुम्हें भाग्यवान और भगवान के कृपा पात्र बतलाने लगें तो चौकन्ने हो जाओ। नाम मत कमाओ। प्रशंसा के लिए मत तरसो। खुशामद से प्रसन्न मत होओ। अपने साधन का प्रदर्शन मत करो। अनावश्यक संबंध मत बनाओ। परोपकार की दुकान मत खोलो। और राग द्वेष तो करो ही मत। क्योंकि राग और द्वेष तो विवेक की आँख को ढक कर साधक को अंधा कर देते हैं। द्वेष से गुण भी दोष और राग से दोष भी गुण दिखने लगते हैं।

धन मल लगने लगे। घर सराय लगने लगे। परिजन बटोही लगने लगें। लोभ और क्रोध से ऐसे दूर हटने लगो जैसे वे साँप या बिच्छू हों। परचर्चा-परनिंदा से कष्ट होने लगे। संतोष, शांति, भगवद्स्मरण, भगवद्गुणगान स्वाभाविक ही होने लगें। अपने अपमान और निंदा से कष्ट न हो। सिद्धि में सुख न हो, असिद्धि में दुख न हो। यश-ऐश्वर्य से काम न हो। न चाह हो, न परवाह। न अपेक्षा हो, न उपेक्षा।

आपका जीवन जितना ही सीधा-सादा, अपरिग्रही, संतोषयुक्त होगा, उतना ही अभावहीन, स्वावलम्बी और सुखी होगा। जितना ही अधिक आडम्बर, विलास और शौक होंगे, उतना ही अभाव, दासता और दुख होंगे।

और वासनाएँ तो अंगुली पकड़ाते ही पहुँचा पकड़ लेती हैं। वासनावान मनुष्य धनवानों का मुखापेक्षी, पदानुगामी और दोष समर्थक हो जाता है। वासना तो भगवान की कृपा रूपी धूप के लिए बंद किवाड़ है। वासना न रहे तो कृपा वृष्टि अभी हो जाए। फिर भी गुलामी के अभ्यास से, यदि गुलाम रहना ही है, तो अपना मालिक बदल लो। वासनाओं की गुलामी छोड़ कर, भगवान की इच्छा को मालिक बना लो।

बीता हुआ कल मर गया, आने वाला कल अभी पैदा नहीं हुआ। यह अभी का समय भगवान का उपहार है। आयु बीत रही है। इसी बचे खुचे थोड़े से समय में ही भजन करना है। इसीलिए लोकेशानन्द कहता है कि बिना अनुकूलता की प्रतीक्षा किए, जहाँ हो, जैसे हो, वहाँ, वैसे ही, जितना साधन कर सकते हो करते रहो। भगवान की कृपा से परिस्थितियाँ अपने आप बनती जाएँगी, मार्ग मिलता जाएगा।

Look! There are three types of seekers- Birdlike, Antlike and Monkeylike. A birdlike-seeker immediately flies away. A seeker like Ant takes time but eventually reaches. A monkeylike keeps jumping from here to there.

This thing is not being explained for monkey like, here an attempt is being made to make ants like birds. All antlike-seekers note-

Never be satisfied with your means, do not even consider your tears as proof of your devotion. They also come out of practice and also with natural mindset. If the people of the world start telling you that you are fortunate and Bhagwan has blessed you, then be cautious. Do not earn the name. Do not crave for praise. Do not be happy with flattery. Do not demonstrate your means. Do not make unnecessary relationships. Do not be a charity contractor. Don't be infatuated and don't malice at all. Because infatuation and malice cover the eye of the prudence and blind the seeker. With malice he begins to see virtues as faults, and with infatuation he sees defects as virtues.

Wealth should look like shit, house like inn and the family like travellers. Take away greed and anger as if they were snakes or scorpions. Discussion and condemnation of others should cause suffering. Contentment, peace, remembrance and praise of Bhagwan should be natural. Don't be distracted by insults and condemnation. Don't work for fame and glory. Don't want, nor care. Don't expect, nor ignore.

Your life will be as simple, unpossessed and contented, the more lackless, self-reliant and happy it will be. The more hypocrisy, luxuries and hobbies there are, the more there will be deprivation, enslavement and sorrow.

Lust is a closed door to Bhagwan's grace. If there is no lust, the mercy rain falls now. Even then, by the practice of slavery, if you are to remain a slave, then change your master. Abandon slavery to lusts, make Bhagwan's will your master.

Yesterday is dead, tomorrow is unborn, but today is a present. Age is passing. Do the hymns in this short left over time. That is why Lokeshanand says that without waiting for compatibility, wherever you are, keep doing means as much as you can. With Bhagwan's grace, circumstances will get favourable automatically, the path will be found.
