410 नारायण कवच

बड़ी विचित्र बात है। दुर्योधन ने श्रीकृष्ण से नारायणी सेना मांग ली। अर्जुन ने केवल श्रीकृष्ण को मांगा। अर्जुन से कहा गया-

"हार निश्चित है तेरी, हर दम रहेगा उदास।

माखन दुर्योधन ले गया, छाछ बची तेरे पास॥"

अर्जुन ने कहा-

"जीत निश्चित है मेरी, दास ना होय उदास।

माखन है किस काम का, माखनचोर मेरे पास॥"

देखें, एक ओर भगवान हैं, दूसरी ओर भगवान से प्राप्त सम्पत्ति है।

गुरूदेव भगवान स्वामी मित्रानन्द जी महाराज कहते हैं कि शास्त्र में "नारायण कवच" का महान महिमामंडन है। अर्जुन ने नारायण कवच धारण किया और कौरवों की सेना का पार पा लिया। जबकि दुर्योधन ने नारायणी सेना को कवच बना कर अपना सब कुछ गंवा दिया।

नारायणी सेना क्या है? आपके पास जो भी है, मकान, दुकान, धन, बल, पद, प्रतिष्ठा, और इस लोक और परलोक के जितने भी सुख साधन हैं, वह ही नारायणी सेना है। जो इनके भरोसे चला, माने नारायणी कवच धारण किया, वह डूब गया। जो भगवान के भरोसे रहा, माने नारायण कवच धारण किया, उसने लोक, परलोक दोनों को ही प्राप्त कर लिया।

विचार करें! यदि आप भौतिक जगत में विजय प्राप्त करने के लिए, अथवा अध्यात्मिक उन्नति के लिए, अहंकार के वशीभूत होकर, अपने जीवन की उलझी हुई समस्याओं का समाधान स्वयं करना चाहते हैं, तो आपका डूबना तय है। क्योंकि अहंकार के आश्रय में किया गया कोई भी कर्म, अहंकार को ही पुष्ट करता है। और अहंकार ही संपूर्ण समस्याओं की जड़ है। क्या आप कीचड़ से कीचड़ धोना चाहते हैं?

अब उस नारायण कवच को धारण करने की विधि-

जीवन की किसी भी परिस्थिति में, कोई भी प्रमुख निर्णय, अंतःकरण में बैठे अव्यक्त परमात्मा से पूछ कर ही करने लगना, नारायण कवच धारण करना है। भगवान गीता में कहते हैं-

"उपद्रष्टाऽनुमंता च भर्ता भोक्ता महेश्वरः।"

वह परमात्मा सबके अंतःकरण में द्रष्टा रूप से अवस्थित है। वह अनुमंता भी है, साधन पकने पर वह अनुमति देने लगता है। आदेश का पालन होने लगे तो वह भर्ता बन कर योगक्षेम वहन करने लगता है।

जैसे अर्जुन भगवान की आज्ञा में चलने लगा, आप भी उनसे बिना पूछे कुछ न करें। यह उनके मार्गदर्शन में चलना ही नारायण कवच धारण करना है।

हाँ यदि आपमें भीतर का आदेश पकड़ने की क्षमता न हो, तो भगवान ने दूसरा भी एक सरल विकल्प दिया है। गीता में ही भगवान कहते हैं-

"सर्वधर्मान्परित्यज्य मामेकं शरणं व्रज।"

तुम एक काम करो, मेरी शरण में आ जाओ। भीतर बात न बनती हो, तो बाहर से आदेश लो। किस से पूछें? मुझ से पूछ लो। माने गुरू जी से आदेश लो।

दोनों एक ही हैं। पर जो मुझ से, माने सगुण ब्रह्म से, माने किन्हीं समकालीन आत्मज्ञानी महापुरुष से आदेश लेकर चलते हैं, वे मुझे अधिक प्रिय हैं।

"ये तु धर्म्यामृतमिदं यथोक्तं पर्युपासते।

श्रद्दधाना मत्परमा भक्तास्तेऽतीव मे प्रियाः॥"

तो आप अपनी क्षमतानुसार कहीं से भी आदेश लें, पर बिना आदेश के न चलें। जो बिना आदेश के चला, उसने तो नारायणी सेना का कवच धारण कर लिया, वह तो डूबेगा ही।

इसीलिए लोकेशानन्द गाता है-

"ध्यानमूलं गुरुर्मूर्तिः, पूजामूलं गुरोःपदम्।

मन्त्रमूलं गुरोर्वाक्यं, मोक्षमूलं गुरो:कृपा॥"

It is very strange. Duryodhan demanded Narayani army from Krishna. Arjun only asked for Krishna. Arjuna was told-

"Your defeat is sure, your heart will remain depressed. Duryodhan took all the butter, buttermilk left with you."

Arjun said- "My victory is certain, devotee never feels sad. What is the use of butter, when I have Makhanchor Krishna?"

See, on one side there is Bhagwan, on the other side there is the property received from Bhagwan.

Gurudev Bhagwan Swami Mitranand ji Maharaj says that there is great glory of "Narayan Kavach" in the scripture. Arjun wore the armor of Narayan and overcame the Kaurav army. Whereas Duryodhan lost his everything by making Narayani army his armor.

What is Narayani Sena? Whatever you have, house, shop, money, power, position, prestige, and all the objects of this world and the hereafter, it is Narayani army. Whoever believed in it, took Narayani armor, he drowned. The one who believed in Bhagwan, took Narayan armor, attained everything.

Consider! If you want to conquer the complicated problems of your life, or spiritual world, subjugated by ego, then you are sure to drown. Because any act done in the shelter of ego, only reinforces ego. And ego is the root of all problems. Do you want to wash mud with mud?

Now the method of wearing Narayan armor-

In any situation of life, any major decision should be made by consent of latent Bhagwan sitting in heart, it is wearing the Narayan armor. Bhagwan says in Gita-

"उपद्रष्टाऽनुमंता च भर्ता भोक्ता महेश्वरः।"

That Bhagwan is situated in every heart. When your means give results he gives you advice in every situation.

As Arjun started walking in the command of Bhagwan, you too should not do anything without asking Bhagwan. To walk under his guidance is to wear Narayan armor.

Yes, if you do not have the ability to hold the inner command, then Bhagwan has also given a simple alternative. In the Gita itself, Bhagwan says-

"सर्वधर्मान्परित्यज्य मामेकं शरणं व्रज।"

You do one thing, come to my shelter. If you fail inside, take consent from outside. Ask whom? Ask me. Take consent from your Guru ji.

Both are same. But he who follows command from me, from any contemporary spiritual great man, he is more dear to me.

"ये तु धर्म्यामृतमिदं यथोक्तं पर्युपासते।

श्रद्दधाना मत्परमा भक्तास्तेऽतीव मे प्रियाः॥"

So you can take consent from anywhere according to your capacity, but do not walk without consent. He who walks without Bhagwan's consent, he took Narayani armor, he will drown.

That's why Lokeshanand sings-

"ध्यानमूलं गुरुर्मूर्तिः, पूजामूलं गुरोःपदम्।

मन्त्रमूलं गुरोर्वाक्यं, मोक्षमूलं गुरो:कृपा॥"
