If anyone comes to know that there is poison in the food, will he eat it? No! So don't we know that there are only three end results of body? Either it will have worms, or the animal will eat it to make it shit, or it will burn to ashes. Then even after knowing the body as a misery, why does a man run towards the body?
Dear brother! If someone wants to find Bhagwan with interest in the body and its pleasures, then attainment is far away, even he can't decide to attain. Just as wrapping cloth on the stomach does not produce child, similarly pretending does not lead to Bhagwan.
If something is lost, or left out of hand, or stolen, then one who cries bitterly. He should cry at his understanding. Because Bhagwan is the only thief. Who will come here except him? If the chieftain of the thieves wants to take everything from us with fresh new excuses, how is weeping?
Whereas the one who is recluse, says that steal it! steal it! Steal everything! Steal my heart too! Do not give it up!
See, the sorrows by which an enamored person beats his chest, becomes the cause of salvation for the recluse. The recluse breaks the sorrows on the forehead of destiny. The more the mountain of sorrow comes, the more excitedly he does the hymn.
Experiencing Bhagwan's grace in everything, he remains happy all the time.
Recluse keeps on chanting even while lying in bed. The time he spends sleeping, is also put to good use. People think that he falls asleep, but at that time he makes the hereafter.
The enamored person should consider that the man who has as much of the world, like an ox he is carrying the same burden. To fulfill the small pleasures of the body, he hangs his tongue like a dog and drips saliva, staring at the mouth of another. Yet he considers himself great, what a shame it is.
He should understand that if lack of pleasures would have been the cause of sorrow, then the recluse sant should also be sad. Because pleasures are far away, he does not even have the capacity to fill his stomach. In fact, the lack of pleasures does not hurt, the feeling of that lack hurts, this feeling is the greatest foolishness.
Recluse sants are engaged in contemplation of Bhagwan, how should they feel the lack? This is the reason that even the great Kings, sit next to his feet, and eradicate the pain of their heart.
Lokeshanand had read somewhere for such recluse people-
"The arrows fired by people do not prick my heart, the arrows melt in my heart's fire."
