423 भक्ति की विजय

श्री नरसिंहारण्य जी ने 'हरिभक्तिचन्द्रोदय' ग्रंथ में बड़ी गहरी बात लिखी है। उसे सरलता से समझने के लिए हम सनातन धर्म की परम्परा के अनुरूप एक रूपक का सहारा लेंगे। बहुत ध्यान से समझें-

इस लोक में जितनी भूमि है, उसके एकमात्र राजा का एक ही चिरकालीन शत्रु है।

राजा और उसके शत्रु, दोनों के पास चार चार सेनानी हैं। शत्रु बलवान हुआ तो आक्रमण करने अपने सेनानियों को साथ लेकर चढ़ आया। इस आक्रमण से घबरा कर राजा के सेनानी मृत्यु को प्राप्त हो गए और राजा शक्तिहीन हो गया।

अन्य कोई उपाय न होने से वह शक्तिहीन राजा और उसकी पत्नी न मालूम कहाँ जाकर छिप गए। दैवयोग से उन्हें एक आत्मज्ञानी महात्मा का संग मिल गया। वे महात्मा उन्हें प्रतिदिन संत और भगवान की भिन्न भिन्न कथाएँ सुनाने लगे।

यों कथाएँ सुनते सुनते उन्हें काफी समय बीत गया। काल पाकर राजा की पत्नी ने एक सुंदर पुत्री को जन्म दिया। दोनों ने उस कन्या का बड़े लाड़ प्यार से पालन पोषण किया। जिससे वह कन्या तुरंत युवा हो गई। उस नवयौवना कन्या ने उन आत्मज्ञानी महात्मा को गुरू रूप में धारण किया तो गुरू जी ने उसे आशीर्वाद स्वरूप एक खड्ग प्रदान किया।

वह कन्या, उस खड्ग को हाथ में लेकर, उन कथाओं से प्राप्त संस्कार, राजा की दृष्टि, राजा की पत्नी की दृढ़ता, और गुरू जी के आशीर्वाद के बल से, शत्रु की छाती पर चढ़ गई। हैरानी की बात है कि उस खड्ग से छूते ही, बिना ही अन्य किसी प्रकार का युद्ध हुए, वह शत्रु अपने चारों सेनानियों सहित मारा गया।

अब राजा की खोई हुई शक्ति भी वापस आ गई, और उसने उस शक्ति के बल पर अपने चारों सेनानियों को पुनर्जीवित कर लिया।

इस प्रकार उस कन्या की विजय कथा संपूर्ण लोक में गाई जाने लगी। चारों ओर शांति छा गई और सदा सदा के लिए संघर्ष और मृत्यु का दंश समाप्त हो गया।

अब असली बात। जीवत्व ही यह लोक है। विवेक ही राजा है। शील, धर्म, संतोष और वैराग्य, विवेक के सेनानी हैं। मोह ही एकमात्र शत्रु है, जिसके काम, क्रोध, लोभ और ममता सेनानी हैं। जरा मोह बढ़ता है कि शील, धर्म, संतोष और वैराग्य मारे जाते हैं। विवेक और उसकी पत्नी श्रद्धा शक्तिहीन हो जाते हैं, छिप जाते हैं।

संत के संग और सत्संग से, विवेक और श्रद्धा को भगवद् भक्ति नामक कन्या का जन्म होता है। प्रेमपूर्वक रक्षण से भक्ति युवा हो जाती है। वह भक्ति गुरू जी से प्राप्त ज्ञान रूपी खड्ग से, मोह को काम, क्रोध, लोभ और ममता सहित मार डालती है। फिर विवेक की शक्ति जगती है और शील, धर्म, संतोष और वैराग्य जी उठते हैं। यही भक्ति की विजय कथा है। तब न अशांति रहती, न संघर्ष, न ही मृत्यु।

लोकेशानन्द कहता है कि इसी विधि से परमधर्म का पोषण होता है।

Shri Narasimharanya ji has written a very deep talk in the scripture 'Haribhaktichandrodaya'. To understand it, we will take the help of a metaphor according to the tradition of Sanatan Dharm. understand very carefully-

The only king of the land in this world has only one eternal enemy.

Both the king and his enemy have four fighters each. When the enemy became strong, he came with his fighters to attack. Frightened by his attack, the king's fighters died and the king became powerless.

Seeing no other solution, the powerless king and his wife went somewhere and hid. By luck, they got the company of an enlightened sage. That sage started telling them different stories about sants and Bhagwan every day.

A lot of time passed by listening to these stories. After some time, the king's wife gave birth to a beautiful daughter. Both brought up that girl with great pampering. Due to which the girl immediately became young. When that young girl accepted that enlightened sage in the form of a guru, Guru ji gave her a sword as a blessing.

The girl, taking that sword in her hand, climbed onto the enemy's chest with the lessons learned from the stories, the vision of the king, the firmness of king's wife, and the blessings of Guru ji. Surprisingly, the enemy was killed along with his four fighters as soon as she touched him with that sword, without any other kind of battle taking place.

Now the king also got his lost power back, and he revived his four fighters on the strength of that power.

Thus the story of the victory of that girl was sung in the whole world. There was peace all around and the stigma of death and struggle came to an end for ever and ever.

Now the real thing. Living being is the world. Discretion is the king. Modesty, spirituality, contentment and detachment are the fighters of discretion. Attachment is the only enemy, whose lust, anger, greed and ego are the fighters. A little attachment increases that modesty, spirituality, contentment and detachment are killed. Discretion and his wife Reverence become powerless and go into hiding.

With the company and sermons of the sant, Devotion is born from discretion and reverence. Devotion becomes youth by love and protection. That devotion, with the sword of knowledge received from Guru ji, kills attachment along with lust, anger, greed and ego. Then the power of discretion awakens and modesty, spirituality, contentment and detachment arise. This is the victory story of devotion. Then there would be no turbulence, no struggle, no death.

Lokeshanand says that by this method Enlightenment is nurtured.
