201 कथा कैसे सुनें?

इस दुनिया के पास सुनने के लिए दो ही बातें हैं, भगवान की कथा और संसार की व्यथा।

संसार की व्यथा कान में पड़ते ही, आपके मन में संसार के प्रति राग उत्पन्न कर, आपको जन्म जन्मान्तर के बंधन में डालने वाली है। जबकि भगवान की कथा, सुनने वाले में, आज नहीं तो कल, भगवान से अनुराग पैदा कर, उसे जन्म मरण के बंधन से सदा सदा के लिए छुड़ा देती है।

अब, भगवान की कथा दो प्रकार से सुनी जा सकती है, श्रद्धा से या शंका से।

जैसे सती जी और पार्वती जी। सती जी ने यही कथा शंका से सुनी। फल क्या मिला? शंकर जी का साथ तो छूटा ही, जीवन भी नष्ट हो गया। जबकि पार्वती जी ने यह कथा श्रद्धा से सुनी, तो मुक्त होकर, सदा सदा के लिए शंकर जी के साथ, अर्धनारीश्वर रूप से पूजनीया हो गईं।

आप संत को न जानें, पर कथा को तो जानते हैं। कथा संत की नहीं है, भगवान राम की है। संत कथा आपके पास लेकर नहीं आए, कथा ने ही संत को आपके पास पहुँचा दिया है। संत तो ध्वनि का डिब्बा मात्र है, आवाज तो उसके मुख से आती है, पर उसकी है नहीं, भगवान की है। भगवान ही कहलवा दे रहे हैं। भगवान साथ न हों, तो जिव्हा अभी सूख कर लकड़ी हो जाए। तब कथा तो क्या, कोई एक टूटा फूटा शब्द ही बोलकर दिखा दे।

लोकेशानन्द तो कहता है कि संत तो यंत्र मात्र है, वह स्वयं कैसा है, उसकी वाणी कैसी है, उसकी शैली कैसी है, वह कौन सी परम्परा से आया है, उसके पास कितनी भीड़ है, उसका कितना नाम है, उसका कितना वैभव है, इन व्यर्थ की बातों पर ध्यान न देते हुए, भगवान की कथा में श्रद्धा रखकर, कथा सुनने वाले का कल्याण होता ही है, इस बात में न कोई संशय था, न है, न होने की संभावना है।

In this world there are only two things to hear, the story of Bhagwan and the agony of the world.

The agony of the world, when enters in your ears, it creats attachment in your mind, and puts you in bondage of birth after birth. Whereas Bhagwan's Katha, in the hearer, if not today, then tomorrow, arouses love for Bhagwan, redeems you from the bond of birth and death forever.

Now, Bhagwan's Katha can be heard in two ways, with reverence or doubt.

Like Sati ji and Parvati ji.

Sati ji heard this katha suspiciously. What did she get? Not only Shankar ji left her, her life was also destroyed.

While Parvati ji listened this katha with reverence, she got salvation and is worshiped as Ardhanarishvar with Shankar ji till today.

If you don't know the sant, don't recognize him, but you do know katha, you recognize the katha. The sant is telling katha, katha is not of the sant, but of Shri Ram.

The sant didn't bring Katha to you, Katha has brought the sant to you. The sant is only a sound box, the voice comes from his mouth, but it is not his voice, it's from Bhagwan. Bhagwan is saying through sant's mouth. If Bhagwan would have not been with him, the tongue would have been dried up and become wood now. Then who says of katha, no one can say a word.

Lokeshanand then says that the sant is just an instrument. How is the sant himself, how is his speech, what is his style, what tradition does he come from, how much crowd does he have, how much is his fame, how much is his glory, regardless of these pointless things, it is auspicious for the listener, to listen Bhagwan's katha with reverence. There was no doubt about it, neither is, nor will be a possibility ever.
