बड़ी विचित्र बात है कि संत की चर्चा चलते ही दुनिया चारों ओर से "ठग-ठग" चिल्लाने लगती है।

रामचरितमानस में समाधान है।

प्रतापभानु नाम का एक बड़ा सत्कर्मी राजा था। उसे एकतनु नामक कपटमुनि ने ठग लिया। ऐसा ठगा कि यही प्रतापभानु अगले जन्म में रावण हुआ।

गजब कथा है, एकतनु संतवेष औढ़े है, हरि के कारण नहीं, हार के कारण औढ़े है। उसने संसार छोड़ा नहीं है, दुर्भाग्य ने छुड़ा लिया है, हार गया तो कहता है कि त्याग किया है।

प्रतापभानु चक्रवर्ती राजा है, भला आदमी है, पर ठगा गया, क्योंकि एकतनु से जगदीश नहीं जगत माँगने लगा।

ध्यान दें, वासनारहित बुद्धि वाला ही बुद्ध बनता है, वासनावाला तो बद्ध होकर बुद्धू बनता है। प्रतापभानु को एकतनु ने नहीं ठगा, एकतनु तो बहाना है, प्रतापभानु तो अपनी वासना से ठगा गया।

विचार करें, माया के बाजार में अच्छे बुरे सब तरह के लोग हैं। जहाँ असली की कीमत हो, वहाँ नकली भी होगा ही।

असली तो किसी को ठगता ही नहीं, पर नकली भी हर किसी को ठग सकता है क्या?

बुरा मत मान जाना, पर सत्य यही है कि मन में वासना हो, ठग कोई न भी हो, तो भी माया ठग लेती है।

मन में वासना न हो, उपासना हो, तब ठग से सामना हो भी जाए, तो भी नहीं ठग पाता।

मन में स्वर्णमृग की कामना से, माया सीता, छाया सीता, नकली सीता, नकली साधु रावण से ठगी गईं, वासनारहित हनुमानजी को कालनेमि ठग पाया क्या?

असली बात तो यह है कि सच्चे मुमुक्षु को ठगने की औकात माया में भी नहीं ही होती। लोकेशानन्द का आश्वासन है कि वह नहीं ठगा जाता। वह नहीं ठगा जाता।

Think, there are all kinds of good and bad people in the world of Maya. Where there is a price for real sant, there will be fake as well.

The real sant doesn't cheat anyone, but does fake also cheat everyone?

Don't feel bad, but the truth is that if there is lust in the mind, even if there is no thug, Maya cheats.

If there is no lust in mind, even if you are confronted with a thug, he can't cheat you.

Sita, shadow Sita, fake Sita, wished the golden deer, fake sant Ravan cheated her. Did Kalnami the thug, could cheat Hanuman ji?

The real thing is, even in Maya there is no way to cheat the true seeker of Bhagwan. It's Lokeshanand's assurance that no one can cheat him. No one can cheat him.
