218 मनु महाराज

मनु महाराज का चौथापन आ गया, पर संसार से वैराग्य न हुआ। तो उन्हें ग्लानि हो आई कि संसार से मन नहीं छूट रहा है। सबकुछ पा लिया, बस वही नहीं पाया, जिसके लिए जीवन पाया था, भगवान को नहीं पाया।

संसार से मन न छूटना बड़ी परेशानी है, क्योंकि अपने आप से तो छूटा नहीं, पर मौत द्वारा छुड़ा लिया जाएगा। मन से न छूटे, जबरदस्ती छुड़ा लिया जाए, तो कितना दुख हो? इसीलिए बरख़ास्त होने से पहले इस्तीफा दे देना अच्छा है।

मौत बरख़ास्तगी है, वैराग्य इस्तीफा है। स्वयं ही छोड़ दें, तो मौत छुड़ाए क्या?

मौत और मुक्ति में यही अंतर है, मन से पहले तन का छूट जाना मौत है, तन से पहले मन से छूट जाना मुक्ति। मौत कान पकड़ कर छुड़ा ले, उससे पहले खुद ही छोड़ दें, तो पुनर्जन्म हो ही ना।

मनु जी को ग्लानि आ गई, तो रास्ता खुल गया।

मनु जी, शतरूपा को साथ ले, धेनुमति के किनारे तप करने गए, तो भगवान आ गए। पूछने लगे कि मनु क्या चाहते हो?

मनु जी ने कहा- प्रभु! मैं आपसे कुछ नहीं चाहता, आपको चाहता हूँ।

भगवान ने कहा- ठीक है! मैं तुम्हारा पुत्र बनकर आऊँगा।

आप भी ऐसा ही करें। ध्यान दें! मन ही मनु है। यह मन ग्लानि से गलने लगे तो शतरूपा माने सौ सौ रूप बदलने वाली बुद्धि, "सात्विक श्रद्धा धेनु सुहाई" धेनु मति हो जाए, सात्विक श्रद्धा वाली हो जाए। बस तब भगवान पुत्र बनकर, अवतार लेकर, अंतःकरण में उतर आते हैं।

असल में भगवान के आने में देरी नहीं है, आप तड़प नहीं रहे हैं, इसीलिए देरी हो रही है।

लोकेशानन्द कहता है कि नींद चढ़ने पर बिस्तर के लिए तड़पने वाले, भूख चढ़ने पर रोटी के लिए, कामना चढ़ने पर वस्तु के लिए, लोभ चढ़ने पर धन के लिए, काम चढ़ने पर देह के लिए तड़पने वाले, विचार करें कि यहाँ यमराज का काला भैंसा आपकी छाती पर चढ़ने के लिए तैयार खड़ा है, आप भगवान के लिए कब तड़पेंगे?

King Manu got too old, but couldn't control desires, so felt guilty that I still have desires. I got everything, except what I got life for, Bhagwan.

Not getting rid of desires is a big problem, because if you don't leave by yourself, they will be redeemed by death. And it is good to resign from being sacked.

Death is dismissal, disinterest is resignation. If you renounce on your own, what can death snatch?

This is the difference between Death and Salvation. Death is the release of body before the mind, Salvation is the release of mind before the body. If you renounce desires before death catches, there is no rebirth.

Manu, took Shatrupa, his wife, with him, and went to tenacity on the banks of Dhenumati, then Bhagwan appeared. Asked what Manu wanted?

Manu said- Bhagwan! I don't want anything from you, I want you.

Bhagwan said- Okay! I will take birth as your son.

If this mind melts with guilt, it fills with moral reverence. Then and there, Bhagwan incarnats, and enters into intellect.

Actually there is no delay in Bhagwan's arrival, you are not feeling guilt, that is why there is delay.

Those who are longing for bed when sleepy, for bread when hungry, for objects when desired, for wealth when greedy, considering that the King of death, Yam, is standing right here to climb on your chest, when will they agonize for Bhagwan?
