234 सीता जी की शर्त

॥ सीता स्वयंवर ॥

यह सीता स्वयंवर है, स्वयं-वर। सीताजी स्वयं वरण करती हैं, चुनाव करती हैं। भक्ति पर यूँही कोई अधिकार नहीं जमा सकता। भक्ति की प्राप्ति उसी को संभव है, जो सीताजी की शर्त पूरी कर दे।

शर्त पूरी जिसने की, उसे ही भक्ति मिली, उसे ही भगवान मिले, वह रामजी को जानकर "जानत तुमहिं तुमहि हो जाई" स्वयं राम ही हो गया। वहाँ बूंद सागर में मिल कर सागर ही हो जाती है। तब जीव भाव रहता ही नहीं, ब्रह्म भाव उपलब्ध हो जाता है।

रावण जैसे जो बिना शर्त पूरी किए जबरन भक्ति पर एकाधिकार जमाना चाहते हैं, उनका सर्वनाश होता है।

सीताजी की शर्त क्या है? सबसे पहले विश्वामित्रजी के पीछे चलें, माने विश्वास करके संत का संग करें, अनुसरण करें।

फिर तर्क रूपी ताड़का को मार दें, मूढ़ स्वभाव रूपी सुबाहु को विचार की अग्नि से जला डालें, और भ्रम रूपी मारीच को दूर भगा दें, माने यह जो दुखरूप जगत में सुख का भ्रम हो रहा है, यह न रहे।

तब पत्थर हुई अहिल्या, माने जड़ हुई बुद्धि को, रामजी की चरण धूलि से, माने रामनाम जप से, चैतन्य कर ले, माने दृष्टि को जड़ जगत से हटा कर, भगवान पर लगा लें।

बस अंत में, अब तक यह जो भी किया गया, इस करने का जो कर्तृत्वाभिमान है, उसे भगवान के चरणों में समर्पित कर दें।

यह कर्तृत्वाभिमान ही धनुष का स्वरूप है। लोकेशानन्द कहता है कि इस धनुष का भगवान के हाथों टूट जाना ही भक्ति की प्राप्ति का अंतिम सोपान है।

प्रस्तुत प्रसंग में जो धनुष है, वह आत्मज्ञानी महापुरुष रूपी शंकर जी का, काम क्रोध लोभ रूपी त्रिपुरासुर का वध करने का कर्तृत्व भाव है, जो भगवान के हाथों टूटने की प्रतीक्षा कर रहा है।

"Sita Swayamvar"

This is Sita Swayamvar, Sita ji selects herself, chooses. No one is authority over devotion. Only one who fulfills the conditions of Sita attains devotion.

Whoever fulfilled her conditions, only he got devotion, knew Bhagwan Ram and became Ram itself.

"Jaanat tumahi tumahi ho jayi"

There the drop meets the ocean and becomes the ocean. "Brahm janeti bhrahmaiv bhavti"

Humans like Ravan, who want to establish a monopoly on devotion forcefully, without fulfilling the conditions, are doomed.

What are the conditions? First of all, follow Vishwamitra, follow a sant with faith.

Then kill Tadka the argument, burn Subahu the temperament, and drive away Marich the illusion. The illusion of happiness happening in the world of misery, should get to an end.

Then Ahilya, the unconscious intellect, should be enlightened by chanting.

Just finally, ego of whatever it has been done till now, is the bow to be broken. Lokeshanand says that breaking this bow is the final stage of the attainment of devotion.

The bow that is presented in the context is the ego of killing Tripurasur by Shiva, the enlightened great man.

This bow is waiting to be broken at Bhagwan's hands.
