भक्ति की प्राप्ति चाहने वाला जान ले, यह धनुष अहंकार का प्रतीक है, उससे टूटेगा जिसमें अहंकार न हो। जिसमें अहंकार कूट कूट कर भरा हो, उससे कैसे टूटे?

यह धनुष बल से नहीं टूटता। जब तक तोड़ने वाला खड़ा है यह कैसे टूटे? कर्ता के छूने से तो यह और भारी ही होगा। जो कहते हैं, "मैं तोड़ूंगा"- "मैं", उनसे अपना मैं-पन नहीं टूट रहा, धनुष कैसे टूटे?

यहाँ तो राम जी खड़े हों तब बात बने। पर पहले मन तो खड़ा हो, लक्ष्मण तो खड़ा हो। आप लक्ष्मण जी को तो उठाओ।

लक्ष्मण जी दण्ड हैं, राम जी पताका हैं, डण्डा खड़ा हो तो झण्डा अभी फहरा जाए। और भी, लक्ष्मण जी वैराग्य हैं, यहाँ लक्ष्मण जी ही शांत बैठे हैं। जीवन में वैराग्य उफान मारे तो बात अभी बन जाए।

जनक जी ने कहा "वीर विहीन महि मैं जानि" और वही हुआ जिसकी अपेक्षा थी, लक्ष्मण जी खड़े हो गए।

लक्ष्मण जी में जोश तो है, पर होश भी कम नहीं।

पंडित राधेश्याम जी लिखते हैं कि लक्ष्मण जी भगवान से कहने लगे-

"सच्चे योद्धा सच्चे क्षत्री,

अपमान नहीं सह सकते हैं।

जिनको सुनने की ताब नहीं,

वे चुप कैसे रह सकते हैं॥

रघुवीर वीरों के होते,

अनुचित वाणी कह डाली है।

ये शब्द वज्र से लगते हैं,

कि पृथ्वी वीरों से खाली है॥

मेरा स्वभाव ही ऐसा है,

अपमान ना मुझे गवारा है।

है कृपा गुरु के चरणों की,

बल और प्रताप तुम्हारा है॥

यह धनुष पुराना घिसापिटा,

तिनका सा किस गिनती में है।

सैंकडों कोस तक ले दौड़ूं,

इतना बल एक अंगुली में है॥

अभिमान त्यागकर कहता हूँ,

आदेश तुम्हारा पाऊँ मैं।

तो धनुष की है औकात कौन,

सारा ब्रह्माण्ड उठाऊँ मैं॥"

लोकेशानन्द कहता है कि बिजली चमक गई, श्याम घन घनश्याम बरसने को ही हैं। लखनलाल लाल हो गए, अरुणोदय हो गया, मुहूर्त हो गया, राम रूपी सूर्य निकलने को ही है।

Those who seek devotion should know that this bow is a symbol of ego, and will be broken by one who doesn't have ego. How someone who is burst into ego, can break it?

This bow can't be broken with physical force. If the doer touches it, it will be more heavier. He who says, "I will break it", "I", he is not even able to break his ego, how can he break the bow?

Until Ram dosen't stand up, how can the objective be met? And as long as Lakshman is seated, Ram will also be seated.

If Ram is the flag, Lakshman is the pole. If the pole stands, the flag will be hoisted instantly. Moreover, Lakshman is renunciation, here Lakshman is quiet, how could the task be completed?

Janak said "Alas! I feel that there is no warrior left on this earth" and then happened what was expected, Lakshman stood up.

Lakshman is passionate, but with consciousness. He said-

"True warriors can't bear insult. Those who are not used to listening taunt, how can they keep quiet?

The assembly where Bhagwan Ram is present, how such inappropriate words are being said there? To me these words are like thunderbolt, that the earth is empty of warriors.

It's my nature that I can't bear Ram's insult. I have the grace of the Guru ji's feet and Ram's strength and majesty.

This bow is old and worn, I don't count it like a straw. If Ram says, I can lift it with one finger and run for hundreds of miles.

I say without pride, if Ram orders, what is the point of the bow, I can lift the whole universe."

Lokeshanand says, lightning has been flashed, Bhagwan's grace is about to rain. Lakshman has turned red, It's time for the sun to rise, and here Ram is the sun, He is about to stand up.
