241 कौन किसे क्या देगा?

दशरथ जी को कान के बालों की सफेदी से जगत की नश्वरता का, देह की क्षणभंगुरता की उपदेश मिल गया। उपदेश लेना हो तो कहीं से भी लिया जा सकता है।

दशरथ जी विचार करते हैं कि "अपना राज्य राम जी को दे दूं"। पर उनका यह संकल्प पूरा नहीं हुआ। दो चार कारणों पर ध्यान दें-

दशरथ जी अपना राज्य देना चाहते हैं। "अपना"? जबकि भरत जी कहते हैं-

"सम्पत्ति सब रघुपति की आहि"

सब सम्पत्ति राम जी की ही है। देने का प्रश्न ही नहीं है, उनका है ही, उन्हीं का है, देना क्या?

विचार करें, यहाँ अपना क्या है? वस्तु की तो बात ही छोड़ दें, यह देह भी अपनी नहीं है, कुछ समय को मिली हुई है, किराए की है, आप किराएदार हैं, मालिक नहीं। मालिक तो राम जी हैं।

तो जब यहाँ आपका कुछ है ही नहीं, आप उसी की वस्तु उसी को लौटा रहे हो, या दे रहे हो? पर जिसे भ्रम हुआ कि "मेरा है" उसे यह भ्रम भी हो जाता है कि "मैं दे रहा हूँ"। अभिमान से जो दिया जाए, उसे भगवान स्वीकार नहीं करते।

फिर अयोध्या में ढोल बजने लगे। राज्य अभी दिया नहीं गया है, कल दिया जाना है, पर बाजे बज गए।

समर्पण तो करने वाला जाने, गुरू जी जानें और राम जी जानें, दुनियावाले क्यों जानें? देना भी है तो ऐसे दें कि किसी को कानों कान खबर न हो, बाद में मालूम पड़े तो पड़े, पर पहले कोई जानने न पाए।

देखें, सुग्रीव का राज्याभिषेक होना था, राम जी ने लक्ष्मण जी के कान में कुछ कहा। और सुग्रीव का तिलक होते ही, अंगद को बुलाकर, लक्ष्मण जी ने उसे युवराज घोषित कर दिया।

लोकेशानन्द पूछता है कि भगवान ने जब आपको इतना दिया, ढिंढोरा पीटकर दिया क्या? तब आप उस मिले हुए को भरपूर भोग कर, उसमें से ही कुछ, उन्हीं को लौटाना चाहो, तो ढोल नगाड़े बजाने का क्या काम?

Dashrath received the lesson of the impermanence of the world, and the transience of the body, through the grey hair. Sermon can be taken from anywhere.

Dashrath considers to give his kingdom to Ram. But his wish was not fulfilled. Pay attention to a few reasons-

1. Dashrath wants to give his kingdom. "His"? Whereas Bharat says- All the wealth belongs to Ram only. There is no question of giving.

Think, what is yours here? Leave aside the things you have, this body is also not yours, you got it for a while, it is rental, you are a tenant, not an owner. Bhagwan is the owner.

So when you don't own anything here, are you giving or returning it? But the one who thinks "It's mine" also gets the illusion that "I am giving". Bhagwan doesn't accept what is given with ego.

2. The state has not yet been given, it is to be given tomorrow, but the celebrations started in Ayodhya.

Who should know if you surrender? Only you and Bhagwan. Why should the world know? If you want to give, give in such a way that no one is aware of it. Someone may know it later, but why should one know it first?

Lokeshanand asks that when Bhagwan gave you so much, without playing a drum? Then after enjoying it to the fullest, if you want to return a little of it, then what is the purpose of playing the drums?
