246 सीता जी की अवस्था

लोकेशानन्द कहता है कि पहले मेरापन, फिर कर्मासक्ति, पुनः कर्म का बिगड़ जाना, और कर्म में लोभ आ जाना, फल क्या मिला? राम जी को जाना पड़ा।

सुख चलने को तैयार हुआ तो शांति कैसे रहे? भगवान के बिना सीता जी कैसे रहें? कुछ भी हो जाए, कैसी भी परिस्थिति हो, सुख हो कि दुख हो, जीवन हो या मृत्यु हो, लाभ हो या हानि हो, मान हो या अपमान हो, निर्मल बुद्धि, मलरहित बुद्धि, भगवदाकार बुद्धि, निश्चयात्मिका बुद्धि, मलिन हो ही कैसे?

सीता जी का मत है कि वन में रहूँ या भवन में रहूँ, बस भगवान की छाया में रहूँ। भवन भले छूट जाए, राम जी का साथ न छूटे। सीता जी विचार करती हैं कि मुझे राम जी की आज्ञा से, राम जी की सेवा में रहना है।

राम जी कहते हैं, पिता जी दुख में हैं, लक्ष्मण बालक है, भरत भी नहीं है, माताएँ व्याकुल हैं, मैं तो वन जा रहा हूँ, सबकी सेवा तुम्हें ही करनी है। सीता जी सेवा तो कर दें, पर करें कैसे? भगवान तो भक्ति के प्राण हैं, प्राण ही न रहेंगे तो मृत देह से सेवा संभव कैसे हो?

राम जी कहते हैं ये मार्ग तुम्हारे लिए नहीं है, मार्ग में कंकर पत्थर काँटे होंगे। तुम्हें कष्ट होगा। पर सीता जी कहती हैं कि मुझे रास्ते पर कोई कष्ट नहीं होगा। क्यों नहीं होगा? मैं मार्ग की ओर देखूंगी ही नहीं।

तो कहाँ देखोगी? मैं तो आपके चरणों को ही देखूंगी।

"हमारे साथ हैं रघुनाथ तो किस बात की चिंता।

चरण में रख दिया जब माथ तो किस बात की चिंता॥"

Lokeshanand says that first 'me and mine', then 'desires', then 'impaired deeds', and 'greed', what is the result? Ram had to go.

How can peace stay, if happiness goes? How Seeta can live without Ram? Whatever happens, no matter what the situation is, through thick and thin, life or death, profit or loss, whether it is respect or insult, serene mind, unquenchable mind can't be impaired.

Seeta is of the opinion that whether stay in the forest or the castle, just live in the shadow of Ram. Even if the castle is left, I should not leave Ram's company. Seeta thinks that by Ram's command, I have to be in Ram's service.

Ram says- Dear Seeta! Father is in sorrow, Lakshman is a child, Bharat is not here, mothers are distraught, I am going to the forest, you have to serve everyone here.

Seeta is happy to do service, but how to do it? Bhagwan is the soul of devotion, if the life is gone, how can service is possible from a dead body?

Ram says, this path is not for you, there will be stones and thorns in the way. You will suffer.

But Seeta says that I will not have any trouble on the way.

Why won't you suffer?

I will not look at the path.

So where will you see?

I will look at your feet only.

When Ram is with us, what are we worried about? Why should we worry when we have put our foreheads in His feet?
