279 निषादराज से भेंट

निषादराज ने आगे बढ़कर अपना परिचय दिया और दण्डवत् प्रणाम किया। भरत जी ने पूछा- गुरु जी! ये कौन हैं? गुरु जी ने कहा- ये राम सखा हैं।

बस! भरत जी रथ से कूद गए, निषादराज को उठाकर गले से लगा लिया।

बाद में गुरु जी ने कहा- भरत! तुम चक्रवर्ती जी के उत्तराधिकारी हो, वह छोटे से कबीले का मुखिया, तुम्हें उतावलापन नहीं दिखाना चाहिए था। भरत जी ने कहा- गुरु जी, वो राम जी का सखा है, मैं राम जी का सेवक हूँ। सखा जमीन पर पड़ा हो और सेवक रथ पर चढ़ा हो, यह कैसे ठीक होता? गुरु जी कहने लगे कि भरत तुम जैसा कोई नहीं।

पहला विश्राम श्रृंगवेरपुर में ही हुआ। भरत जी ने सबको सुला दिया। आप कहेंगे राम जी तो सोए हुओं को छोड़ गए, भरत जी ने सुला क्यों दिया?

तो राम जी ज्ञान हैं, ज्ञान जगाता है, कि दुख से छूटना है तो जाग जाओ।

भरत जी भक्त हैं, भक्ति कहती है, भगवान के आश्रय में निश्चिंत होकर सो जाओ। भक्ति माँ है, अपनी गोद में सुला लेती है।

लोकेशानन्द कहता है कि दोनों की दृष्टि ही भिन्न है, उद्देश्य एक ही है, दुख से छुड़ाना और भगवान से मिलाना।

भरत जी ने सबको सुला दिया, पर खुद नहीं सोए, आँखों में नीर है, नींद कैसे आए? निषादराज के पास गए। बोले- भैया! मुझे वह जगह दिखा दो, जहाँ श्रीसीतारामजी सोए थे। कह तो दिया, पर कलेजा कट गया, गला रुंध गया।

दोनों चले। शीशम का वृक्ष, भरत जी ने धूल में लोटकर प्रणाम किया। निषादराज बोले- यह वृक्ष सौभाग्यशाली है, जो आप इसे प्रणाम कर रहे हैं। भरत जी कहें, हाँ बहुत सौभाग्यशाली है, पर इसलिए नहीं कि मैं प्रणाम कर रहा हूँ। यह सौभाग्यशाली है, इसीलिये मैं इसे प्रणाम कर रहा हूँ।

यह तो कल्पवृक्ष से भी बड़ा है, सारा संसार जिनकी कृपा छाया में बैठता हो, वे भगवान इसकी छाया में आ बैठे।

Nishad Raj went ahead and introduced himself and bowed prostrately. Bharat asked- Guru ji! Who is he? Guru ji said- He is a friend of Ram. Just then Bharat jumped from the chariot, picked up Nishadraj and hugged him.

Later Guru ji asked- Bharat! You are the successor of King Dasharath, he is the head of a small clan, you shouldn't have shown rashness. Bharat said- Guru ji, he is Ram's friend, I am Ram's servant. How could it have been right if friend had been lying on the ground and servant had climbed on the chariot? Guru ji said- Bharat there is no one like you.

The first rest took place in Shringverpur. Bharat put everyone to sleep. You would say that Ram left the sleeping ones, now why did Bharat put them to sleep?

So Ram is knowledge, awakening, that if you want to be released from misery, then wake up.

Bharat is a devotee, he says sleep comfortably in Bhagwan's shelter. Bhakti is mother, she takes to sleep.

Lokeshanand says that the vision is different, the purpose is the same, to redeem from sorrow and reconcile to Bhagwan.

Bharat put everyone to sleep, but did not sleep himself, his eyes are wet, how can he sleep? He went to Nishadraj, said- Brother! Show me the place where Shri Sitaram slept. Somehow said, but the heart was cut off, the throat stopped.

Both went, it was a Rosewood tree, Bharat bowed in the dust. Nishad Raj said- This tree is fortunate, because you are bowing down to it. Bharat says- Yes! It is very fortunate, but not because I am bowing. It is fortunate, that's why I bow.

It is greater than Kalpavriksha. In whose grace shadow, the whole world sits, He, Shri Ram sat under its shadow.
