284 लक्ष्मण जी का संदेह

चित्रकूट में सीता जी को स्वप्न आया कि भरत जी का तन तप रहा है और वे सारे समाज के साथ आए हैं। राम जी सोच में पड़ गए।

इतने में कोई समाचार ले आया कि भरत जी सेना सहित आ रहे हैं। लक्ष्मण जी को लगा कि भरत जी राम जी के विरोध में हैं। उनसे राम जी के प्रति किसी का विनोद सहन नहीं होता, विरोध सहन कैसे हो? वीर रस जाग गया।

-प्रभु! भरत आपको अकेला जानकर युद्ध करने आया है।

-लक्ष्मण! तुम मेरे प्रेमवश भूल से भरत पर दोष लगा रहे हो।

-प्रभु! मैं भरत को नहीं राजपद के मद को दोष लगा रहा हूँ।

-लक्ष्मण! खटाई से दूध फटता तो है, पर उससे दूध का सागर नहीं फटता। भरत भाव का सागर है, अयोध्या का राजपद दो बूंद खटाई है। पृथ्वी, आकाश, सूर्य बदल सकते हैं, भरत का स्वभाव नहीं।

-प्रभु! आपकी दृष्टि में एक दोष है।

-क्या दोष है लक्ष्मण?

-यही दोष प्रभु कि आपको किसी का दोष दिखाई नहीं देता। पर आज आप कुछ न करें, मैं करूंगा।

-क्या करोगे लक्ष्मण? क्या तुम भरत को युद्ध में हरा सकते हो?

लक्ष्मण जी ने कहा-

"जब तलक भरत थे धर्मवान तब तक तो डिगा ना सकते थे।

मैं क्या सौ लक्ष्मण भी मिलकर लड़ने में हरा ना सकते थे॥

पृथ्वी हो जाए खंड खंड विंध्याचल तिल तिल हो जाए।

तूफान समुद्र से उठकर अम्बर से चाहे टकराए॥

यदि पुत्र सुमित्रा का हूँ मैं तो भरत का गर्व मिटा दूंगा।

हे राम दुहाई पृथ्वी पर क्षण भर में उसे लिटा दूंगा॥

हर समय रोकते रहे मुझे पर आज रोकना मुझे नहीं।

सौगंध आपको मेरी है इस समय टोकना मुझे नहीं॥"

रामजी तो चुप रह गए, आकाश बोलने लगा- लक्ष्मण! जिस भरत की छाती में तीर मार कर तुम राम जी की रक्षा करना चाहते हो, उसी भरत की छाती में राम जी बैठे हैं। तुम्हारा तीर भरत को नहीं, राम जी को लगेगा।

लोकेशानन्द ने देखा कि लक्ष्मण जी संकोच के वश हो गए, आँखें धरती में गड़ गईं॥

-Lakshman! Sourness turns milk in the curd, but it can't curdle the ocean of milk. Bharat is the ocean of devotion, the throne of Ayodhya is just two drops of sourness. Earth, sky, sun can change, Bharat's love for me cannot change.

-Prabhu! Your vision is such that you like everyone, but today you will not do anything, I will.

-What will you do Lakshman? Can you defeat Bharat in battle?

Lakshman- As long as Bharat was on the right path, hundred Lakshmans together couldn't even beat him in battle. But today he is different.

Today, even if the earth breaks into pieces, Vindhyachal mountain is broken. Even if the sea storm rises and hits the sky.

If I am the son of Sumitra, I will erase Bharat's pride. Hey Ram! I will put him on earth in a moment.

You kept stopping me all the time, but don't stop today. You swear to me, don't interrupt me this time."

Ram ji remained silent, but sky began to speak- Lakshman! Ram is sitting in Bharat's heart. You want to protect Ram by shooting arrow in Bharat's chest? If you shoot arrow, the arrow will hit Ram, not Bharat.

Lokeshanand saw that Lakshman got embarrassed, eyes fell into earth.
