राम जी आज पंचवटी में आ गए।

पंचतत्वों से बनी यह देह ही पंचवटी है। यहाँ जितने प्रकार के देह हैं, सब पंचवटी ही हैं। इन सबमें यह मनुष्य देह रूपी पंचवटी सबसे कीमती भी है, तो इसी में सबसे अधिक माया का विस्तार भी है।

यह दुनिया पंच का प्रपंच ही तो है। पंचवटी में ही सती जी को भ्रम हुआ, वे सती से नकली सीता बन गईं। इसी में रावण की बहन सूर्पनखा रूप बदल कर आई। यहीं खर दूषण और त्रिशिरा, चौदह हजार राक्षसों के साथ आए। और भी, यहीं सीताजी छाया सीता हो गईं, मारीच मायामृग बन भगवान की आवाज निकालने लगा।, रावण संतवेश बनाकर सीताजी का हरण कर ले गया, भगवान को भी रोना पड़ा।

देखो, हम पंचवटी में ही हैं। यह पंचवटी ही हमारे रहने का स्थान है। हम दो प्रकार के घरों में रहते हैं, हम एक चलते फिरते घर को लेकर, एक खड़े घर में रहते हैं। आप दोनों में आराम से रहो, बस इतनी सावधानी रखना कि इन्हें अपना मत समझना।

यह अपने को मिले हैं, अपने हैं नहीं। इनसे आसक्ति मत कर लेना। ये बंधनकारी नहीं हैं, इनसे आसक्ति ही बंधनकारी है। परेशानी यही है कि इनका संग होते ही यह आसक्ति न मालूम कब कहाँ से आ धमकती है।

तो पंचवटी के संग से बचने के लिए क्या करें? सत्संग करें। बस यही इसकी एकमात्र विशेषता है कि इसी में सत्संग हो सकता है। 

रामकथा में पंचवटी का पूर्ण उपयोग दिखाया गया है। राम जी पंचवटी में आए तो सत्संग शुरू हुआ। जीव रूपी लक्ष्मण, माने साधक जिसका मन लक्ष्य पर टिका है, ने प्रश्न किया, राम जी ने सद्गुरू बनकर सुंदर उपदेश दिया।
